Ray is a true healer. He does one on one work, and always can find a way to get you feeling better than when you walked in.

I just read Gales review and it made me feel so terribly for Ray that I have to respond. Because people cannot defend themselves satisfactorily on these review sites. Ray is an extremely nice person and very competent in his job. I know this because I have been seeing him, and was referred by a friend of mine that is a marathoner. I also worked with two other people that went to Ray and who were not only helped by him, but also highly recommend his services to others. My pain has disappeared. I can only speak for myself but I did my exercises every day, correctly, and take pt very seriously as I want to be back out running again. I have every confidence that Ray will get me there. As he did for 3 other people that I know well. I am editing this to add that a search of public record databases for New York and internet search shows no Gale Greenwood in or around the Albany, New York area. I believe this review to be fake.

I have been seeing Ray for over 5 years now for a variety of running-related issues. He is by far THE BEST physical therapist in the area, especially for runners. He only sees one patient at a time, he listens to his patients, and he always finds a way to fix whatever problem I am facing at the time. This woman Gale who left a poor review needs her head examined. I know numerous other runners who are also loyal patients and have nothing but amazing things to say about him. Also, Gale appears to be a fake name, and therefore that review should be given no weight. An honest person would use his or her real name when leaving a true review.

Ray is the worst physical therapist I have ever seen for treatment. He came highly recommended because of his expertise in running. He misdiagnosed me, his exercises created new debilitating back pains that I had never experienced before— leading to chronic headaches, and his exercises never addressed the area where I came for treatment (hamstring). Within a week of transferring my care elsewhere and stopping his exercises, I improved and received correct diagnosis. I have a friend with the same experience of increased pain after seeing Ray and inability to diagnose. I saw he seems to give the same exercises to each patient. Don’t visit this quack!

I just wanted to thank Ray for his guidance and care in recovering from my PCL tear.Ray was able to assess and pinpoint that the weakness was in my hip and give me a series of exercises to strengthen my hip.He also explained the importance of stretching the piriformis and gave me exercises for that as well.Well today despite no longer having an intact PCL, I came in 2nd in my age group (50-54) at the 5k Upstate Classic with a time of 27:04 which is the fastest I’ve run a 5k since I can remember. So thank you Ray for being really good at what you do. You’ve helped me tremendously in a short period.

Ray was recommended to me by a friend who had been to a number of other physical therapists, without relief.I had surgery for a torn meniscus which relieved intense pain but the residual pain caused me to limp. Thanks to Ray, I lost the limp!
