Excellent physician and great bedside manner. He is very efficient with your time so you are not there long. Average time was about 30 minutes or less including waiting to be called. Dr. Patel listens and keeps to the point. He provides best options to help you.

He is an outstanding doctor. He takes personal care in your specific case. He has an excellent bedside manner and a wonderful personality. He takes care of you as if you were his own family. I have been going to him for about 30 years and he has gotten me through many things. Such as strokes, migraines, etc. He has treated my mother for dementia/Altzheimers. He has treated both of my daughters for migraines. He is a very professional and compassionate man.

I can’t say enough good things ab this doctor! First and foremost he wanted my son well fr horrible migraines from brain trauma. Willing to do whatever it takes to make him well. No waiting time with Dr Patel, if it doesn’t work then try something else until we found what works. All of the nurses and everyone who works there, so kind, caring and helpful with anything we needed. Truly the BEST!!!

Sees you as a Cash Cow he only spends 2 to 5 mins hes unprofessional and I literally watch them try to reschedule a sick patient that drove over 40+ miles on a referral he never run test of any type he needs to be reported to the state medical board. I hope everyone is noticing if he get a bad review immediately 5 good shows up. I suggest you refuse referring anyone here useless the are visiting his office staff

I’ve been a patient at Dr.Patel since I was 17, since my brain surgery in 2016 he has been amazing. He was there with me to help during the birth of my son, every visit he asks about my family, work, and make sure that the job I have isn’t to stressful. He’s appointments are quick so I can fit them into my bust schedule and not miss work.

I was referred to Dr. Kalpesh Patel in November of 2018 after I had been diagnosed with a stroke. I like his bedside manner very much. He is very positive and straight forward. I have recovered from the stroke without any deficits. Dr. Patel has monitored my condition from the beginning and I have not been given a bunch of meds. I couldn’t ask for anyone to be more compassionate and caring including his staff. They have been wonderful in working with me on appointments and appointment changes. Now my husband sees him for some medical issues that he has recently developed and he likes him too!

Dr. Patel has truly help me with my migraines with his expert knowledge in the neurological field. He truly cares about his patients and will not keep you waiting all day at his office.

Dr. Patel is the fourth neurologist I have tried, and he will be the last. His kindness, his patience, and his willingness to work with me have been unparalleled. I had almost given up, but his genuine concern has been amazing. I drive an hour and a half both ways to get to him. His compassion and care are worth every drop of gas I use. I would--and do--recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Patel has been amazing with with my mother. He is always thorough and listens to her complaints and tries his hardest to accommodate her in any way possible. He has an awesome bedside manner that more doctors need to learn from. I would recommend him to anyone.

Was referred to him and what a horrible experience. First the waiting room smelled like urine... almost as if you were in a pet clinic instead. Once in the back, he didn’t look or examined me. Just asked where was I having twitching at and then ordered a MRI based on that. Once the results came back and he said All was normal, he ordered a prescription forms. He did not explain but said it would help. The directions on the bottle was take every morning. So the next morning, I took them. I had a meeting to attend and during the entire meeting, I was asleep and could not stay up,no matter how hard I tried. Then I went straight to work and walked right into the wall.... it was like everything was in slow motion. Once I got home, I did research on the medicine and realized that he prescribed me muscle relaxants. My thing is why prescribed that and tell me to take it in the morning. I’m just thankful I didn’t get into an accident while driving. Needless to say, I never returned to him again

Find yourself someone else. He doesn’t care about helping with your problems. He doesn’t listen. He is there to take your money, your insurance money, and push pills.

I took my son to this place as a follow up appointment. I am PROFESSIONALLY embarrassed that this was the best Albany has to offer its residents! Im greatly disappointed in the medical field that they would have this as a place to practice medicine; and amazed at how cheap these people are for this doctor to offer this hovel to their clients. Ive been to nicer medical facilities in 3rd world countries. The walls are paper thin! The A/C either was not working at all or was set on HELL!! The waiting room smelled like urine and other human body odors. The front door wouldnt close properly, and gnats were a constant battle. Once seated in our 4x6 closet of a room to sweat more we waited an extended amount of time to be seen by a Doctor who barely speaks the Queens English. Unbelievable to me how these professionals can go to work daily and not see how this dilapidated piece of junk facility must look to its patients and workers. Not Impressed!!!

Me and my two daughters all use Dr. Patel after being referred by a friend whose daughter has used him for many, many years. He has always been very nice and very professional with all 3 of us. The work he has done for my friends daughter has been amazing!

I went to Dr. Patel about 3 months ago the first visit was fine. I was still having really bad headaches and went back to him he didnt want to write me any Dr. excuses for my job and didnt want to provide me proof of visiting so my job can have it on file. He told his receptionists before he left that he wasnt gonna write me anything. He has an attitude and is rude I wouldnt refer no-one to his office!

This was the absolute worst experience in our lives. My husband was in to see him. When he entered the room....he did not sanitize. He did not greet us or introduce himself. He was loud and yelled at us as if he was speaking to dogs. We are intelligent American American people and have great respect for physicians and the work they do. I listened as he visited other patients in other rooms and he greeted cheerfully, in fact one was a PA and others were white. I am not saying he prejudice or that he has anything against us but it seemed that way. This was the first initial visit and like dummys we went back as to try to give him the benefit of doubt....the 2nd visit was even worst. He entered the room again no greeting and yelling. He told my husband sit over there and pointed to the table. He went straight to his machine and put it on my husband arm. There was no explanation of what he was doing or any type of preparation. My husband jumped because he was shocked ....literally shocked and he asked him what are you doing?Mr. Patel said you dont want to do this then you can leave. We are both in awe bc of what has happened and we leave in a hurry.This man has the worst bed-side manor ever.I wouldnt recommend him anyone and he is certainly in the wrong field. Hopefully he will change his attitude and become the person God wants him to be.

Very rude and stated he did not want to understand the issue. He scheduled me for an MRI which was sent to the wrong location so I had to call my insurance to get it sent to the right one. At that point it was timed out so they told me to ask him to re do the refer. He would not do it. He stated he would not waste his time on me and its my issue. He stated other rude things and I was upset and cried and left. No reason to be that rude. No reason at all.

My Dad saw Dr. Patel many times before he passed away. He was always patient with my Dad who had a hard time with understanding what he was saying. I myself have seen Dr. Patel in the past for headaches. I am currently seeing him for another problem I am having with my neck and spine. He is a great Dr.

Front desk personnel are the only reason for a star at all. The gals up front are great. Call to remind you of appointments, friendly, polite...but the doctor is a hack. VA refered me to him for migraines, possible TBIs and strange brain MRIs. For months, all he did was put me on meds and see me for 2 minutes a month to ask how the meds were doing. Complete waste. He wouldnt even talk about anything else other than the migraines, and I found out why. I needed paperwork signed for a job and he refused to sign them claiming, I am not seeing you for anything other than migraines. I saw the referral from the VA to him and what he was supposed to be looking at. The paperwork was changed to allow him to say he wasnt treating for the rest, he still refused, probably because it would be him admitting he was wasting my time and the VAs money. I told him about a migraine where I collapsed on my bathroom floor, he tells me to drink Gatorade and he will see me in two months. I have ended up in the hospital before from stroke symptoms that were eventually linked to my migraines and this guy just tells me drink Gatorade. Also spends more time telling me my migraines could be worse and other people have it worse. Cool dude! I hope they get better, but stop downplaying stuff and do your freaking job bud. Had several docs look at my results from MRIs and tell me he was a fool. Pure laziness. I hope the VA gets every cent back from this fraud for wasting time and money and not looking deeper than web MD at my issues. I wonder how many others are going untreated by this guy. By the other reviews, it seems like many. He will med you up and thats it. The meds are working less and he says give it another two months after being on them for several months already. Im glad the VA is sending me elsewhere. Enjoy your Porsche pal, its paid for by unsuspecting patients who foolishly trust you as I did.If you are seeing him for anything other than migraines, STOP! GO ELSEWHERE. Your health and sanity depend on it.

I am so lucky to be a patient with Dr. Kalpesh Patel, MD. Since my head injury, he has guided me though my treatments. His staff is very friendly. He has helped my migraines and PTHT get under control. I dont know what I would do without him!!

He doesnt do his job as a doctor. Visit not even1 minute. He ignores you and keep giving medicine that doesnt work.He has a smart mouth too.He helps who he wants. Has ignore my seizures before.

Billed my insurance company for $270 just to talk with him about papers. Never done anything for me always walked in and out less than 5 mins. Terrible he needs his license taken.

Dr. Patel has taken care of my migraines with Botox and I havent had a migraine in over three years. Very caring doctor!

I was pleased with visit. But he didnot order my meds. From va. It has been more than a week. I called, secetary said she would tell him. That means another week or more.

HE ONLY WANTS THE MONEY NO REAL ANSWERS!!!!!!!! I was referred to Dr. Patel to try and get answers to why in my 20s I feel ill out of the blue. I hated my experience with this doctors office. The worse part was I was referred out for a CAT scan He did NOT call me back with my results I had to call and they told me if he didnt call I am fine and hung up like I did something wrong. PISSED BEYOND WORDS . PLUS It was packed literally the 1st time I went in so he only saw me for literally maybe 5 mins at the most. I thought well since its packed I can understand .No!!!evey visit after that was still about 5 mins He asked a few questions and was not listening to my true concerns just keep giving me meds on top of meds and more meds without telling me what was wrong!STILL DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG BUT HE WILL BILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR EVERY SECOND OF HIS TIME BUT LEFT ME DEVASTED EVEN MORE

Very rude, called for simple information and was basically hung up on since the person who handles that was on vacation.

Im currently going too him . I dont be in the doctor over 2 minutes. Im going to strengthen my leg . He call and schedule a appointment the day before. He keeps trying too schedule MRI after I have had 4 already. I asked him was there any options too help and he act like he dont know what too do . At this point Im considering go too another neurologist

Called in to get general information and lady that goes by tru hung up in my face .. very disrespectful
