Good location, shelves pretty well stocked, exceptional clean & friendly. Associates so kind & helpful. A lot of appreciation for my Army service (Army bb cap on) even from other patrons. Im definitely going back.

I think almost everything here is organic or something like that. They sell all kind of groceries, meat, fish, poultry, coffee, tea, spices and plants. The shop arrangement is beautiful. You can also buy different kind of oils as much as you like by weighing with the weighing machine and put it in your own bottle. Same apply to coffee and spices. They also sell candles soaps and dog foods. Whoever never been there show go and visit there for at least once, its worth it.

Honest Weight is the place to go if you are looking for virtually any hard to find healthy food items. Lots of organic produce and products along with a very good cheese department.

We absolutely love this store. We joined and are even thinking of giving some of our time towards the coop. From the organic produce to the bulk food section, we absolutely adore the fact that everything is labeled as organic, local, etc. We have been trying to eliminate single use plastic from our lives for some time and we bring our own reusable bags and containers to use.The front desk will weigh your containers so you can even use glass if you want to! We are hoping to go totally plastic-free at some point but still occasionally get convenience foods. It’s difficult in today’s world, but Honest Weight is helping in that endeavor!We are also plant-based and very health conscious and love that we can get so many items without plastic here. We love the kombucha on tap and the bulk tofu!

A great place to shop for bulk, hard to find or speciality items. Bulk section is awesome for alternative flours, spices, teas, coffees, and tons of things you didnt even know you needed. Love the cheese section for different hard to find cheeses. Produce is always nice, one of the only places you can get rhubarb in spring or Brussels sprouts on the stalk come fall.

Lots of organic stuff, lots of high prices to go along with them. Still, its better to support this store than bigger ones that dont care about people.

I love this place. They made a cake for my daughters first birthday. They customized it to have no sugar, but sweetened with maple syrup. The people working here are always friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. I just wish I lived closer. I would do all of my grocery shopping here.

I love this store! The staff is always so knowledgeable and helpful. Another thing thats great is they usually have things in stock that you cant find anywhere else, which is a major bonus!!

As a person who is allergic to treenuts, they have a lot of nut free products! However, the place has a lot of nuts in the store, including a nut wall+a nut butter station. You can get fresh flour, sugars, honeys, butters, candys, fruits, meats, and more! Neighborhood is a little sus, but the store is very safe (nut pending). Also lots of vegan options!

Love this store!! Glad I discovered it because I found out they sell Ines Rosales tortas de aceite from Spain. Theyre not easy to find and much more expensive online. Plus I lucked out as they were ON SALE!! The staff were very helpful and courteous. I could spend hours strolling the aisles of this store. Will be visiting again soon.

Prices are on the high spectrum of course. The people who shop here were decently rude and havent heard of the words excuse me or thank you. The staff was very helpful and nice except one who just didnt seem to care about anything. But I guess thats normal in a member owned coop. Everything I got there was quality wise great! I also really liked to see the electric car charging stations. Very nice touch :) great selection of cheese, bulk items and herb/vegetable plants! I loved finding some special items like lingonberry jam and Ayinger Beer! All around a good place to go get your special items. Id just try to go at a less busy time next time.

Honest Weight is the best place to shop for healthy whole foods, organic foods and products and quality nutritional supplements. Their prices are relative to what other outlets offer on similar items and I dont have to question the quality or freshness of the products Honest Weight offers. I would recommend Honest Weight to anyone looking to better the quality of the products they are purchasing.

Ive always wanted to go to a bulk store and I was amazed by how many items there were. Many items in the store were a bit pricey for me, but most of the bulk items were very reasonable and I loved that I could choose the exact amount I wanted. I tried a bunch of different salts. Im not from this area so I didnt buy any groceries, but they had many options for vegans, meat eaters, and everything in between. Many groceries, prepared foods, baked goods, plus the food and drinks at the cafe and a great selection of household products.I didnt buy the pie, but it was very cute.

This is a great grocery store for people who want locally and sustainably sourced products. Another plus is being able to bring your own containers from home for items they have in bulk. Downside is the steep price of products. Its good if you are only buying a few things.

Good produce, bulk goods. Good but not great cheese and meat selection. Needs a good in-store bakery. After seeing the owners response, and after another visit, I have a couple of comments. First, the cheese. My preference is always to have cheese cut to order. Pre-cut cheeses are rarely the size I want (usually too small) and often the entire large piece is pre-cut, meaning that if the vendor is willing to cut to order they have to start a new wheel (or whatever) and that doesnt seem fair. A display of lots of pre-cut pieces says thats how you want and expect to sell it. As for meats, there were cuts I was not able to buy there (Hanger steak, for example) but the impression I get is that the meats are from a single provider, hence limited to what that provider offers. This is by no means a condemnation, but I live an hour away and I am more likely to make the trip if the display and variety were more than I would see at the local market. But I will be back for cheese (which I buy a lot of) and meat (which I eat less of) and the odd bit of seafood (which for the most part I am happy with locally.) Now for grains and bulk items, you guys are great. Maybe I should have led with that?

I travel an hour twice a month to come here because of the numerous vegan grocery items, the bulk section, the deli and the bakery. The plants they offer are also top notch. Its one of my favorite places to shop at in the Albany area.

I love Honest Weight. It has a great selection of healthy and organic food. Every aisle is well organized so you can easily find what you need. They have an area where you can buy coffee and food to go, including a salad bar and a choice of three soups. There are many vegan and vegetarian selections available in the aisles and in the to go section. They also have an area with books, magazines, and organic health and beauty products.

Clean great variety of healthy foods good place to get bulk items and fresh food it helps a lot with trying to live less waste buying in bulk. The staff is friendly there and you can earn coins for charity of your choice in the box at the door. Kids love picking the charity box. Fresh flowers plants and pumpkins.

My first co-op. I love this place. I have loved it since we first met, on Central Ave, with its awkward parking and handpainted signs. Now, its all bright and shiny, in Waterviliet. I thought I would hate the new Honest Weight, but in truth, I love it. Much like myself, it may look different, but underneath, its all hippie.

Favorites are bulk foods section and supplements section. Literally everything can be found there!

The house made curry chicken salad is worth the trip. We like to pick up the chicken salad, a baguette, a few small cheeses, an apple or two, a bottle of Nine Pin Belgium cider... Perfect picnic for Oct 2020 power outage. Cheese selection is one of the best in area, with lots of crackers, fruit/fig spreads to go with.

I absolutely adore Honest Weight. Its a store that aligns with my values and has just about everything I need. Products are a bit pricey unless you buy in bulk. The bulk spices are so affordable, and they have almost every spice you can think of!

People are helpful and very pleasant and have a great variety of merchandise so it is easy to get what you want

My family buys bulk nutritional yeast at Honest Weight because the price is good and we use a lot of it! I go to HW for special items and produce when I need it to be extra fresh and tasty. I bought Brussels sprouts for Thanksgiving and they came out perfectly.

When you need something obscure, organic or normal honest weight generally has a version of it. I typically go there for the bulk spices and cheeses. The produce tends to follow the farmers seasons more closely than a traditional grocery. So if you want something off season it isnt as fresh but if you get something during season then it is great. As far as price it can be really expensive but if you become a member it is on par with whole foods and if you are a member worker then it is as if not more cheaper than the traditional stores

Cant rate less than one star. I was forced to have to wear a mask over my nose. I am a heavy smoker and breathe heavy I cannot breathe through my nose it burns and gives me a headache. .mask mongering. They would not let me buy the products so I just had to leave them at checkout. Refusing to sell to me.i was complying ,i did have a mask on the whole time just not over my big nose.if i wasnt complying then i would have walked into the store without one on completely.

Great place if your into consumption of organic grocery items. They also have conventional produce as well. Watch for great sales as well. Bulk foods, hot and cold lunch items. Grass fed meats, wild seafood items and micro brews. Whew, the list goes on. If you favor healthy eating with seasonal produce from local farmers its a great place to stop.

A great grocery store, with endless variety and best of all, you can bring your own (clean) containers so you dont have to generate ever more plastic into our oceans and landfills! Lots of local produce, nuts, flours, teas, meats... Who knew so much variety is available from local producers! Thats why everythings fresh here. Oh, and the stuff from afar? (coffee, chocolate, bananas, etc): fair trade.

Moving towards a vegan lifestyle is one of the most difficult decisions Ive ever had to make. Honest Weight helps with the vegan lifestyle by providing vegan and vegetarian foods and drinks. Ive never seen so many healthier options in a grocery store my life (aside from Whole Foods in which I never shopped). This is because I lived in urban neighborhoods where choosing a healthy lifestyle is very rare. The prices are reasonable to a little steep depending on what you are getting. The food that you can measure out such as grains, nuts, coffee, etc are very steep per lb. But there are cheaper options without sacrificing quality.

Love the produce and bulk spices

Flour and some products are cheaper there for better quality, while others are more expensive. Some items that save me money are only available at there stores. Yogurt, and several other products are ultimately cheaper there, and on top of that its a better product.

Bustling store filled with unique food! Delicious sandwiches at the deli and vegan burritos on the hot bar. The soup and rolls are divine. We stock up on their blocks of tofu and love to try something new each visit. And if you need a vegan or gluten free cake, you HAVE to order one from Honest Weight. The bakery is amazing!

Everyone is always so friendly and knowledgeable! If they dont know, theyll find someone who does! I always find something I didnt come for! I love that they have bulk items. Saves me from buying a 5lb bag of something Ill use 2 tbsp of!

The best co OP I have ever been to.

This is a very nice local health food store in Albany. When you enter into the store you see the lovely produce area filled with great veggies and plants. They do have a bulk area, I believe. There is an nice deli inside if you are hungry and a seating area to eat. You really do get the feeling of community inside.

The parking lot can be a bloodsport. But the selection of artisanal soaps, and bulk items (including loose spices) is totally worth risking some blood stains on your baja hoodie, while you beat someone to half to death with their birkenstock over them parking their Chrysler 300 with Missouri license plates in an EV charging spot. And the staff are super friendly!

This is a great place, but it aint easy on the wallet, let me tell you...Id rather spend my dough here, however, getting high quality healthful nourishment, than at the hospital later!Tremendous selection - foods, cooking tools, clothing. Its come a long way since its humble Lark Street beginnings!
