They do not take patient complaints seriously. They upcharge on everything, even making an appointment has a fee. What happened to “do no harm”?
I went there went with chronic joint pain at the age 29. Upon being examined, I was told to just take some ibuprofen with food or milk. I continued with this suggested treatment for several years, as I was told my pain was due to wear and tear. After growing tired of living in pain, I sought out a doctor who would take time to listen to my symptoms. I was diagnosed with an auto-immune arthritis. I have learned to manage the pain and inflammation through diet and medicine, but the years that were missed in the original diagnosis were critical in me not preventing further joint damage. Had they taken the time to actually listen to me and what was going on, I could have prevented some of the irreversible damage that was done to my joints.
We have been going here since it was Albany Family Practice. Good staff, good doctors, in general. Our PCP moved to Monterey & it took a long time to find a replacement. My husband found one here that I *dont* like. I found one at Sutter East Bay on Pill Hill, Oakland. Four stars for recent visits and difficulties finding a new PCP.
Very kind and no waiting.
