I have never been a fan of going to the dentist, in fact I went years without seeing one. McMahon Family Dentistry came as a recommendation from my sister. My husband and I started going there a few years ago, and our younger boys go there as well. Every time I go, I am greeted with a smile by the office assistant, Toni. All the hygentists I have had there have been wonderful, and Dr. McMahon is always so friendly and kind. I highly recommend this dentist practice.

In response to the 1 star review from Jamie. The assistant that seated you informed you that you will be seeing Dr. McMahon today. The referral to the Oral Surgeon was and is 100% the correct treatment. I wish that you went for the second opinion before you made this post. The chart Review was to show you that treatment was recommended for that tooth over 1 year ago by Dr. Jacob and you missed two appointments during that 1 year period. This was my first time seeing you and I gave you 100% honesty how can you possibly infer that my actions were racially motivated???? Please go for a second opinion.

Dr. mcMahon ALWAYS made me feel comfortable considering my anxiety when i was there and am always grateful for that..truly cares about its patient teeth. Best Doctor ever!!!

I normally don’t do reviews . I myself and my family have been coming to Dr Mcmahon for years I even followed him from Albany med when he was a resident we have had such wonderful treatment fillings, implants root canals and cleanings the staff has gone beyond expectations and I need to let somebody know that my family is of a black race so I was a palled at the review that was shown on the website when I referred a friend . And she went to look up the reviews people need to stop playing the race card and look at their own health. this practice is wonderful it has done a lot for my family so please Give the office a try before you read reviews that’s why I don’t look at them and I don’t follow them I do it myself nothing like doing something in person. The staff as well knowledgeable and well educated. It’s a shame that office as of today have to walk on egg shells because of people with reviews

I am happy to say I have been a patient of McMahon Family Dentistry for many years. I have to admit, I am truly not a fan of going to the dentist but Dr. McMahon always makes me feel at ease. He takes the time to explain what he is going to do before he actually does it so there are no surprises, which means a lot to me. He respects my time; never have i waiting more than 5 minutes from when my appointment was scheduled. He is also very knowledgeable regarding his profession and keeps up on new techniques and procedures, as well as topics relevant to dentistry. I know this from asking him a lot questions. Furthermore, his staff couldnt be more pleasant and professional. From when you walk in the door, Toni greets you by name and always with a smile, and my hygienist, Erin, is just amazing. She too, like Dr. McMahon, is always very punctual, knows a great deal about her profession, and is just a genuinely nice person. These are my reasons for giving McMahon Family Dentistry its well-deserved Five Stars.

Ever since Dr Jacob left Ive been seeing a different dentist. He never introduced himself and has been sending me to the oral surgeon to have my teeth removed?? When I questioned it then he decided to review my chart? My thoughts are you didnt do that first? Im not a fan. I will be getting a second opinion. Service is definitely not the greatest. Im wondering if its a race thing? Reading previous reviews Ive never received that treatment since Dr Jacob left.. ummhhm. I dont throw the race card around so easily.

Ive been going to McMahon family dentistry since I was a kid. After moving back to the area 10 yrs ago, I was encouraged to see his son carried on the business and even improved upon it. Now my wife and daughter are patients too. The staff and hygienists are friendly, organized, and knowledgeable. I wouldnt go anywhere else and I know that my family is getting the best dental care.

The office has always been professional and efficient. On the one instance where my insurance was being difficult, Dr. McMahon stepped in to ensure they paid. My prior dentist was awful, and this office is the opposite.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. McMahon for as long as I can remember and I am 28 years old now. This guy is the best of the best and really creates a connection with you. He has helped me out on more than one occasion where I was in a bind. All of his staff are extremely helpful, care about you as their patient, and are very skilled. I would absolutely recommend him as a dentist.

I have been trying to schedule a procedure for my receeding gums since my consult with Dr Carneiro in April 2018. This office does not value me as a patient and does not have the courtesy to communicate clearly and directly about payment and scheduling delays between them and the insurance agency. Dr Carnerios assitant has been extremely unhelpful in relaying information (not returning phone calls, not sending pertinant information to the insurance agency, not following up as promised, etc.). Luckily, I have a new dental insurance carrier so I never have to try to work with them again. I would not recommend wasting your time with this office.

Employees Dr. Jacobs (dentist) and Dr. Carneiro (periodontist) are wonderful! Dr. McMann (owner of business) cannot be taken seriously. I scheduled a meeting with him to discuss a billing issue. He was immediately rude, defensive, and mocking. I have NEVER been treated so badly. Extremely rude. I cried all the way home. In hindsight, his behavior was comical ... so obviously defensive, as he lashed out at an obvious business practice error. My only regret is that I will miss the wonderful care of Jacobs and Carniero. I believe McMann needs therapy.

Went here for several years. Moved away for work and are no longer my dentists. The staff are always chatty and friendly which is where the 3 stars come from. They always answered my questions and made for good conversation.Now for the missing 2 stars. I had a couple problems with fillings. I had one filling outright fall out...twice. I brush 2, sometimes 3, times a day and use mouthwash (that they recommended) regularly. I also floss religiously since I screwed up when I was younger and keep myself in check now. The second instance happened last night. It sort of just crumble away on my sleep. I woke up and after brushing my teeth, I felt roughness and it just wasnt there. Not going to go into more detail as this could be something like acid reflux. I will talk with my new dentist and update this review of they say something different
