Very big and overwhelming. I think I prefer online shopping better. Lots of products that were not testers were opened, which was a bit gross, also missing varieties of not just sale items but also in general. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Its my go-to place for higher end cosmetics. Samples sometimes a bit disorganized or missing items, sales people are hands off. No high pressure. Very happy.

This place is amazing. I was the only male inside and the place was filmed whats very well made up women. It was a candy store of cosmetics with every type brand and selection you would ever see anywhere it was huge. The wine waiting to check out went down entire isle and I had called ahead and had an item set aside behind the register. I thought it would take forever to check out for that one item. But they had multiple cashiers in the line moved remarkably quick. It was a unique experience but they had an item I couldnt find anywhere else. My wife is very pleased I could find it.

Today was my very first time ever using Ulta salon and my stylist, Brandon, was amazing! I explained what I wanted to get done, showed a couple of photos for reference and I put my hair in his hands. I was able to ask about what products he used as well as him explaining the use for each and how to apply them to maintain my completely new hair style. I cant say enough good things about him and the awesome job he did. I will definitely be going back to him again and again!

This location in Albany is well stocked compared to the ones I visit in NYC

I never shopped at an Ulta before, but it was nice and I felt welcomed. The woman who was dealing with my transaction was really nice and had a friendly attitude.

Every time I come into this ulta the workers are always constantly in a bad mood and always giving me an attitude anytime I ask a question about a product or come to the register. I’ve came to This ulta more then 10 times and have never had a good experience. Finally decided after my experience today I will not return again. I couldn’t find a single worker on the floor to help me. Also when I walked up to the register I was not greeted or called over. All the one girl said was “what’s up.” While the other two workers are having a loud conversation behind her. So frustrating .

This location is the best in the area!! Love all the ladies working there.

Having all of the associates helping me was the highlight of my weekends after school, and now as an employee of Ulta beauty, I strive to give everyone the same support I was given! And I love being in a business where the job is to help everyone look and feel beautiful, I love my job and I love that I can make a connection with frequent guests and whenever they need to make a return or need help finding something specific/special, Im happy to be able to help them because I was once the young girl who needed help! I love getting to know the guests at Ulta because they can even give me some advise on products Ive never tried and vise versa! Went here a few weeks ago while I happened to be in the area. I was followed around and watched by a female staff member after a few minutes of entering the store. They were pretending to rearrange items on shelves and doing this to multiple customers, one of which I asked and they agreed with me about what the sales member was doing and we both left the store soon after. Did not feel welcomed at all. That sales associate never spoke a word to anyone they were staring at, including myself. I have never had this happen before - this store usually always has an excellent atmosphere, is always clean and has a huge range of awesome products. Unsure why this person in particular this time felt the need to do this to various customers - very unprofessional.

But , my first time every stepping foot into an Ulta was on February 18th ... when I received the most incredible customer service by Sneha. She literally was like my personal shopper while visiting. She was patient , friendly and very informative. She helped me all the way up to signing me up for an Ulta credit card😂😂😂😃. If every location has phenomenal service like what I experienced while visiting the Colonie center location. Then, Ill be a dedicated customer for now on !! FYI .... Customer service is beyond amazing!

This shop is okay, but to be fair and honest I dont wear makeup which is a large part of what they sell. I go there for the OPI nail polish, they have a huge selection. I think I own most of the OPI colors I like by now, so I actually bought Sally Hansen nail polish because of those colors. Staff was polite, store clean, waited in line a few minutes to check out but not bad. The prices here can be high, but you can find good buys. I was very pleased to see LGBQT individuals (including myself) shopping there and the staff was non judgemental and accepting. Thank you.

This is only my second time in an Ulta store and first time at this one and I will most likely return to this one as oppose to the other one. The associates were super friendly and knowledgeable, and one associate was super helpful in providing me with knowledge on what I was looking for and even comparable brands to save money! The stylist are top notch in hair coloring, cuts and perms. They constantly have training to keep up with new products and styles. Its fun to schedule your eyebrows, facial and hair. Sign up for points they add up quickly and come in handy for hair or makeup purchases. All the employees are happy to help you.

Do not think about using the salon for bridal parties. They cannot accommodate more than 4 people - but if you have all day you might be able to get a larger party done. I was the matron of honor & my hair was not done

A store with a wide variety of products, lotions, perfumes, shampoos, conditioners, makeup, foundation, concealers, blush, brushes and others, quality products and good promotions.

Its pretty clean and organized. About 1/3 of the store is on sale any given week, so you can typically find whatever you want on some discount within a month, especially their house brand. That said, Ulta tends to charge more than Target for the same products so compare before buying. Download the app and have the cashier scan coupons off your phone plus theres a barcode function that lets you check prices which is handy because sometimes they arent posted. Definitely create a free account to accrue points which are redeemable for dollars off future purchases.

Recently had a trying visit and I was upset, however, the entire team of this store listened to my concern and acted upon it. I was feeling terrible about having to change salons and leave ULTA Beauty but this is a team that does care about its customers and goes the extra mile to take care when there is an error. Came back on here to update my review and will be returning. These people care.

I love this Ulta. Its close to me and I love that I can try on new products before I buy them. I love their reward program.

This Ulta is the only one in the area. It can be a hit or miss depending on their stock. I came in today and most of their drugstore items were completely gone. Kind of a bummer, but its my go to place to purchase Korean beauty products so I cant complain.

If you have any curly hair type do not get your haircut here!!!! I called and asked if the stylist is familiar with curly hair and was told yes, well that’s far from the truth call me dumb but I’ve been to the salon a total of four times and each and every time the girl wouldn’t wet my hair she just combed through it. Sorry, but curly hair needs to be wet if your going to comb through it which indicates 1. They lie 2. They know nothing about curly hair types. I also got highlights and never once mentioned that I need a deep conditioner because my hair will be dry! but sure as hell recommended purple shampoo and conditioner. My hair was a nightmare and still is! Stay away if you need a haircut and have a curly hair pattern.

The eye brow girl maya was very excellent. She took her time and explained to me all the things she used on me to fix my eye brows and made sure I was happy before I even left the chair. She was also very helpful helping me pick out my contour. I honestly just thought she rocked! Deffinitely will be setting up another appointment with her!!

Good prices, lots of sales and coupons. The employees are always nice and helpful. I really wish Ulta carried everything Sephora has as well. I prefer shopping at Ulta. The only thing I dislike about this location is that a lot of the items are opened.. have fingerprints in them and stuff. The last time I was shopping in the Colonie center location, I was trying to pick up some beard wax for my BF and EVERY CAN I picked up had picked up was opened and touched. Disgusting and disappointing. So I stick to the Latham location. Its smaller and has less foot traffic.

My daughter loved this store. She has taken me to several locations. The store in Colony center had samples displayed that were empty. I am unsure if they ran out of wooden applicators to dip into creams or simply dont provide them. Perfumes have sample papers to spray. Customers shouldnt be putting there hands on products directly. Bacterial infections would be inevitable. LOVED the store . 3 stars for missing health conscious applicators

Colonie center Ulta is nasty. Never went to this one before and will never go back. Will stick to the Latham store were you actually get customer service and the staff is helpful. This store had used makeup on the shelves and used cotton balls of makeup in the shelves how nasty.

Favorite place for Urban RX products

I came to this store to get makeup for my wedding and it was everything I hoped for. I intended to get this foundation that had great reviews, but the saleswoman kindly told me it doesnt photograph well and pointed me to a foundation and concealer that were SO gorgeous in pictures. I cant thank her enough. Both woman who helped me were so sweet and SUPER knowledgeable. FYI-the foundation was Smashbox and the concealer was Tarte shape tape. Would certainly recommend this place, these people and their products!

Great selection of so many beauty items!

I’m so upset and beyond disappointed. I booked two appointments online for facials, showed up 10 minutes early and had my confirmations in hand only to be told once I was in the store that I could not be seen for either appointment. I had a 430 and 445 appointment at 440 she finally came out and asked me if I had an appointment I said yes showed her my confirmations and she told me someone else was booked at 430 and his appointment was booked a long time ago. Why would I be able to book an appointment during that time if someone already had an appointment. Also that person was 10 minutes late meanwhile I was there waiting well before my appointment time and I’m the one that gets turned away. I honestly cannot believe the lack of customer service. You should be disappointed in your booking process and employees. Not only did she tell me I couldn’t be seen but she also said this was a reoccurring issue with appointments. Why hasn’t it been resolved knowing you’re wasting people’s time, embarrassing yourself and frustrating your customers by turning confirmed appointments away?

Love, love, LOVE this place! This is my hair & makeup heaven lol! The staff is always friendly, smiling, & eager to help unlike at Sephora, where all the employees act like they cant be bothered. It has a great variety of all your beauty needs from your high end down to your drug store brands & the best part is earning points on all your purchases!

Lots to choose from and can definitely be overwhelming for some, like me! Some of the staff are very helpful and have amazing customer service skills while others hide on their cell phones in the corner. Also, when buying items that are B2G2 type things, it would be nice if they told you that at checkout as I had no idea but saw it said so on my receipt so I missed out on multiple free items because there are so many sales all the time it can be very confusing.

Waited in lign for 15 minutes with 3 other ladies, no cashier, one lady dropped her stuff and left. I went searching for an employee, found her in the back of the store near the bougee skin care chatting her head off with what appeared to be her moms friend, a neighbor, mother in law? Then she gave me a sample at check out to say sorry I guess : a becca primer that had gone bad, moldy product came out when I went to use it. Oh and before even checking out, I picked up a Jacklyn Hill palette (Morphe) the box was in perfect condition, still opened it to check the palette... IT WAS TRASHED. To a point that it was clear that someone changed the outer packaging. No way the palette was that dented and beaten and the box had nothing. Very bad experience. Will be ordering my Morphe products online from now on, less of a gamble, less trouble, les time wasted.

Normally i have a decent time looking for products, but when my mom almost fell due to the make-shift plug in the doorway to protect high heels as if its her fault for almost falling with sneakers on, I have to call it like i see it.
