I have been going here for over a decade. I have thick wavy hair and they do a great job on it. After Covid, the price has gone up to $19 (higher for long hair or more complex cuts). This is not a meticulous $100 haircut place. Shampooing is extra and they are fast. Im usually in and out in 20. This is not the place to go if you have fine hair and want it layered... my wife found that out the hard way. I do like the photo at the front counter of Janet Yellen and her family. Janet goes elsewhere but he family all come here.

Ive been coming here for years. I love it. Its like walking into the bar in Cheers. They always cut my hair exactly like whatever pic I show them. This place is inexpensive, but high quality.

First, the positive. The ladies there were very nice and welcoming, and I had a very nice chat with them while I got my haircut. She was responsive to feedback about the cut as she went, and tried to accommodate my requests. Also, you cant beat the price.The negative: you get what you pay for. $15 for a haircut, and I should have known. I asked for a fairly technical cut (a long, asymmetrical bob), and as the woman was cutting it, it just got worse and worse. She started off by cutting it way too short, and theres no going back from that. I asked her for layers, and at first she didnt cut any, so I had to ask for more, but then instead of cutting in layers she just cut everything shorter still. Eventually, I just asked her to stop cutting off length, so now one side of my hair is longer than the other. Im going to pretend this was by design. :) The layers are barely there, but overall, its about 3 inches shorter than the picture I brought in.Also, as I was paying, she informed me that since I had such long hair to begin with, the price was $18 instead of $15 (although this isnt posted anywhere in their shop that I saw). It was so inexpensive that I didnt mind paying the extra, but even so, I wish Id ended up with a cut that I didnt dislike. Ill need to go to another salon to get it fixed at some point.
