I’ve had two major injuries in my life requiring PT. Thru that I learned about all the useless PT centers and the rare truly skilled therapist. I give Back in Action a zero. I could not recommend they to anyone.

This is the second place in Alamogordo and the 4th place total that I have received PT from and Back in Action Therapy is by far the best! SCOTT is awesome and knows his stuff. He has quickly zeroed in on the specific type of exercises I needed and it has worked well for me. The whole staff here is wonderful and professional. Would recommend to anyone needing PT.

I am very impressed with the entire staff. The front office was able to quickly get me scheduled for PT following a total knee replacement. And they went the extra mile to work around my busy schedule. Just as importantly, my therapist tailored a plan to meet my timeline and helped me every step of the way to meet my goals. In a word, my therapist was amazing. She pushed me very day to improve and she and the entire Back in Action team clearly demonstrated the motto on a poster that is displayed in their facility, Physical Therapy, The Science of Healing, and the Art of Caring.

Great experience! Small office with very knowledgeable staff. I saw Rachel and she was amazing! My shoulder pain is completely gone with her help and guidance. Welcoming and helpful staff. Went to set up physical therapy two weeks prior to my surgery. Front office staff answered my questions and set up scheduled times for me to begin therapy upon my discharge from the hospital. Today I am 7 weeks post surgery and feeling terrific. I am ready to undergo a second surgery in June thanks to my amazing therapist Miss Nellie. Words can’t express my gratitude for the medical care I received at Back in Action Therapy. Highly recommend this place for your physical therapy needs.

Such an amazing experience! The whole staff is friendly and very helpful. I had Nellie (sorry if i didn’t spell that right), she was so knowledgeable on what was going on with my knee and helped me so much. I came in not knowing what was wrong with my knee and am now leaving with zero pain and many ways to prevent future pain. I would 100% recommended BIA!

Had an awesome experience here. Was in the area on vacation for a few weeks and they were very accommodating to that. Sessions were terrific and very happy with the progress we made. Staff is very friendly as well!

Ignore the location and the look of the place from the outside. Once you are there and inside, youll find they are a well-equipped modern physical therapy practice. I did 12 therapy sessions with Rachel and her PT student intern, Christian, and was completely comfortable with their therapy plan and their ability to guide me through it. Their billing practices could use a little better transparency during a new patients initial intake appointment. At no point during my first visit did anybody sit me down and tell me that each of my twice-a-week sessions would result in a $31 co-pay, so I was on the hook for a total of $372 to complete the entire 12 visits authorized by my insurance company. Its not that I dont have the money, but I think that is important disclosure information they should carefully explain to all new patients so there are no financial surprises towards the end of the patients therapy plan. If I ever need physical therapy again, I would certainly return to Back In Action for their help. My concern is not with their clinical skills, but with that one specific business practice.

Been doing therapy for a while on different things. My therapist is so awesome. She makes the visit fun and you want to come back. Everyone there is caring and understanding about your needs or wants. Great Staff!!

Having had back problems for decades -- and two rounds of major back surgery -- I have had a lot of experience with physical therapists over the years. The staff at Back in Action are on top of their games, particularly Matt Hoyt, who I am working with. Matts ability to analyze the complex causes of musculoskeletal pain and apply the appropriate stretches, manipulation and exercises to get at the root of the pain is amazing -- the best I have seen. In addition to the outstanding therapy, the rest of the staff is friendly, competent and welcoming, and the business operates like a Swiss watch. I am really impressed and would recommend Back In Action to anyone serious about getting better.

Hello! I went to Back In Action for my initial evaluation around the middle of Jan, for my wrists and from the moment I walked in till my discharge, everyone was phenomenal. Scott, my therapist, took the time to ask me a lot of questions and know my injury before just throwing me in all sorts of exercises. They also had no problem at all that I always had to bring my 5 month old daughter along with me. His team was very thorough and always very pleasant. Their services and exercises got me back to no pain within 3 weeks. So if you’re looking for a comfortable and efficent place for therapy, I highly recommend back to action.

A Great place to heal! It is always nice to be greeted with a smile. That smile not only makes you heal great but feel great. My therapy was with Rachel, and Katie assisting. My life is much brighter not only from knowing them, but learning from Rachel how to deal with my pain.

Back in Action has been my go-to destination for PT for many years, and I have never been disappointed in any of the therapists or staff members. All are competent and conscientious, none more than Rachel Haverporth, who recently helped me get through treatment for an excruciating neck problem. Initially, she wanted to use a methodology that didnt work well for me, and when I told her, she instantly changed her treatment plan, and I am leaving Back in Action feeling exponentially better than when I arrived. These people are wonderful!

This my first experience with physical therapy, the orthopedics set me up with Back in Action because it was the only place in town that accepted my insurance (United Healthcare).So far it has been great, all the staff is very friendly and helpful. I havent had any problems with scheduling or anything. Recovery in my wrist has been good so far. I would definitely recommend Back in Action with any physical therapy needs.

I was greatly helped by Dr. Matt Hoyt. He was thorough in his primary and weekly progress evaluations. Clear in instruction, explanation of what the goals would be from week to week, as well as what the process would be in achieving those goals. Recently, I experienced side effects from a medication I started taking when I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. These resulted in crippling muscle spasms in my right knee which was replaced last fall. My health care provider referred me for dry needling therapy so I returned to my favorite physical therapy providers, Back in Action. My therapist, Scott Nufer, is one of two therapists in Alamogordo who are certified to do this procedure. He did help me enormously, got me back on my feet LITERALLY. I highly recommend the procedure and Scott. I really appreciate the fact that at Back in Action, my therapist gave me his personal attention instead of farming me out to an aide. Great therapy with Scott the Therapist. Used lots of treatments and a new dry needling. Cured my chronic inside knee injury. Took 20 visits but it was worth it. Thank you, easy scheduling and billing with TRICARE military.

I’ve done two rounds of PT with Scott at Back in Action (once for neck pain and once for a back injury). Both rounds were totally successful. I didn’t even hesitate coming back for the second round. And the whole staff is super helpful and kind. Don’t look anywhere else!

I had Dan Hoyt as my physical therapist for my rotator cuff / frozen shoulder. My doctor told me I would have to have surgery but after my therapy I was told I didnt have to! I had one on one therapy every appointment and couldnt be any happier. The staff was very personable, they greated me every time I arrived and when I left. I would highly recommend Back in ACTION Therapy for your therapy needs. Even if your doctor tells you to go somewhere else.

Attended physical therapy with Scott after my car accident. My care was excellent. I would recommend.

Ive had lower back issues for years. It was to the point that I had to put on a back brace just to do minor yard work. Finally, I pulled my piraformis muscle which in turn squeezed my sciatic nerve, causing extreme pain and significant mobility issues. Got my doctor to give me a referral for physical therapy. He recommended Back in Action.I was authorized 16 visits by my insurance, but only went to 8 because we fixed me that fast. My piraformis healed up very quickly, but with the help of Matt at Back in Action, my lower back feels better than it did in my thirties (Im in my sixties). Now I only need my back brace for heavy lifting. Physical therapy wont work if you dont do the work that you need to do at home.

I had a good time at back in action the Service Was awesome, Dan my therapist was grat every time I came in I walk out better then I was also at the front every onewas very nice first time experience with pt an it was great.

The therapy was outstanding i would never thought that therapy would cure my dizzyness. after the first session i felt 90% better my dizzyness was under control and i could function again, the following treatments eliminated the problem completely. Rachel was excellent in applying the treatments and explaining the process and the exercises I cant praise the staff enough and praise their knowledge in healing thru therapy

I WENT to this location because Idf heard through a couple local conversations among the more breakable of Alamo (Sp. cottonwood tree)s population. And they were on the money. The PT I was graced enough to meet there had a spiritually interesting and strong vibRATION on sight. Then in PRACTICE I immediately saw that two or three minutes of what this young lady can SHOW you as WELL as explain to you are worth 100 minutes with anyone less knowledgable. She goes to work with efficient immediacy and should NEVER have to waste her time on any patient not willing to work with what she gives them Rachaels last Britannic name is far too rare for me to attempt recall yet. Based upon her dedication to spend SERIOUS and PERCEPTIVE time equally with all her patients, she is a gem that MUST by logic have a suitable and intelligentsetting among the very dedicated manager and expert small staff.

I like going to back in action therapy it gave me more convenient on meeting pplz, to there was 2 ladies that I talk to one is Nelly and I totally forgot da other lady but I gave them props for helping me on getting my leg better oh ya even my 🐕 kini he just admired pplz even though he was skeptical but kini got ova it the next visit he was greetings the other pplz but he always came back into the room I was in n thats wat the pplz like about that I was sad valentine day was our last time but its all good n we just wanted to say much love and alohaSheila n Kini
