Cant say enough about the care my husband received after his total knee replacement by the knowledgeable staff at Access Home Health. We were fortunate to be discharged from the hospital in El Paso to direct home health care. We had an excellent PT aid and Physical Therapist who was not only great at PT, but very experienced in wound care which turned out to be very needed by us. He was always available by text or phone and gave my husband great care. Cant say enough about our PT, Albert, and the excellent care my husband got from him. Would highly recommend if you need an excellent PT!

Our experience with Access was very good. The therapists and office staff were as helpful as could be. I would definitely recommend this company.

I am currently a patient through them and ran into a little problem. My CNA is fantastic it was my PT I had a little problem with. The day I found out i was being discharged never got a phone call telling me this or that my two cancellations were going to be a problem ( both were because I was too sick to get out of bed). Communication needs improvement and if you are going to be late, please call and let the patient know so they dont sit there waiting.

Poor experience. The aide cant show up on time, not once but twice. One of the PT threatens to mark you down as a missed appointment if she cant get to see you the following day from when she called the night before at almost 730pm. Very unprofessional. I will not recommend this company to no one. Doesnt even deserve half a star.

After a severe Multiple Sclerosis relapse that left me almost paralyzed, I spent five days in a hospital, four weeks in a rehab hospital in Las Cruces, and was released once I was able to stand and walk, with orders for home care. I was given the option of either Access or another facility and chose Access, which turned out to be a mistake. As a result of what happened, I have to go to Las Cruces and get re-evaluated by my Neurologist so I can resume home care with another company.I will say that I had impeccable care from my CNA, occupational therapist, and my FIRST physical therapy assistant. These people clearly chose their careers out of passion and compassion for others. Your experience may not be the same, and I hope it not. but I will give you advice so you dont go through what I did. After 2 months with my first physical therapy asst., I got a new PTA when he relocated, and things plummeted from there. I will not go into the chain of events that took place with my new phys. therapy assistant. I will share what I learned and say that you MUST be diligent in ensuring you are receiving the therapy you need and you are not abruptly released from care.1. Ask your insurance company how long each session they are billed for should last. If its an hour, be sure you get the hour. Personally, I am okay with at least 40-45 minutes. Fifteen to 30 minutes is unacceptable.2. Check the date and time on the sheet you will be asked to sign. Do not sign if it is blank or if you did not get the time your insurance will be billed for. Complain if your sessions are not adequate.3. Ask how long your therapy is anticipated to take (six weeks, three months, etc.), so you are not blind-sided with a sudden discharge.4. If you must complain, tell whomever you speak with that you want a follow-up call with what happened and what the resolution will be. Likewise, establish open communication with your therapists so that if your PTA thinks you are non-compliant, it will be addressed with you and not used as a reason to release you.5. If you are dissatisfied, you have the right to change care providers. If you choose this facility, I hope your experience is better than mine.
