Just took my 4yo for her first dentist visit and everyone was so kind, patient, and gentle with her. I’ve been a few times for my own cleaning with just as great of an experience, but nothing is better than your child being treated so well and walking out of the dentist office laughing!

Nothing but good experiences so far. One of the big issues I have had with other dentists is scheduling appointments in a reasonable time. Not so here. I have had appointments in days or following week not months out.

First of all great experience all around from the front desk manager Klaudia and to my hygienist doing my normal 6 month cleanup. When scheduling my appointment through Klaudia she made it easy and streamlined. She gave me clear directions on what I needed to do before my appointment which made my visit a breeze. When I got to my appointment they just took me in since I reviewed all the necessary disclosures and signatures the day before. Having a dentist office that respects your time is a great quality that Alamo Smiles Dental Group excels in! Thanks once again to Klaudia for making my visit pleasant and above all efficient, and thank you to the hygienist for performing all the health checks that most dentist offices will skip on since I just came in for a routine 6 month cleaning. All in all, great experience and Ill see you all for my future dental needs! Thanks Alamo Smiles!

I will never recommend this place to any one. I got all my Wisdom teeth removed Although it was not needed. I think that’s the easiest way of making money by removing wisdom teeth. Surgeon did horrible job and didn’t take credit that he damaged my nerve which causes lot of burning sensation in my mouth. Still suffering..

The receptionist Claudia has poor customer service and doesn’t take credit for her mistakes. They overcharge and don’t even do a great job with regular cleanings. Find another dentist!

Went here years ago. Would never go here again. The dentist was suppose to be working on my teeth instead I found out she was not the dentist I made an appointment with. Im pretty sure she was a student. Since the assistant kept telling the dentist what to do and how to do it. This is not okay. A few days later my filling came out. Years later I still have pain in the same tooth. Dont risk it. Go somewhere else.

This place is a corporation try to up sell the patient. My crown I.e front tooth broke off. I was looking for an implant. They took my tooth away. Then wanted to have a long discussion about all of their other things that are needed. I’m waiting for my 12 month waiting period so insurance will pay 1/2. My front tooth implant was an emergency. They were making me vulnerable and they refused to cent my tooth back in. I was so upset I just took my tooth home. Really bad. I just got a terrible vibe while I was there.

If you want a real dentist that cares about the health of your teeth and not just the money in your wallet go somewhere else. Have had a few good experiences here but mostly bad and always feel like its more transnational than anything. They also tend to exaggerate the results from x-rays to scare you into getting more work done than needed. I went and had a second opinion about my teeth and realized that Alamo Smiles was just trying to get money out of me.

I love this office. They are fast, friendly and have the most state of the art technology. I have had a crown done there when I moved to the area, and have been having my cleanings done there ever since. I highly recommend them.

I need to warn as many people as possible about this extremely unethical and fraudulent business. I do not want other families to fall victim to Alamo Smiles. This is how Alamo Smiles works: First, they start by requiring a full battery of x-rays even if your last films were less than 2 years old. Next they clean your teeth. Right after the cleaning, they tell you that your teeth need a deep root cleaning - basically another usually unwarranted cleaning in which they egregiously charge your dental insurance. Then when your insurance only agrees to pay a small amount (yes, even if you have an expensive branded PPO), Alamo Smiles will balance bill you, where they tell you the residual is the patients responsibility or else they will send it to collections - typically in the range of $600 to over $1,000. Balance billing is illegal, of course, but sending it to collections as an alternatively labeled service enables them to do this and ruin your credit.I was lucky, thanks to some relatives who are orthos - they saved me..What happened? I called to schedule an annual cleaning with them. They said the dentist would not clean my teeth unless I received the full deep root cleaning. During my cleaning about six months ago, they tried the deep cleaning threat on me, by showing me that 3 of my teeth were in the warning zone - this is called unethical, a lack of integrity, and yes, insurance fraud once they charge insurance for a procedure I do not remotely need. So I called relatives who are experienced orthos - I was told this is increasingly becoming a new trick for unethical dentists to use on patients. I was told to run from this business and to contact the ADA with a formal complaint, as people like Alamo Smiles give honest dentists a bad name. Please avoid Alamo Frowns at all costs. You will be happy you listened to this advice. Please read the many other reviews that tell a similar story. Your family does not need to go through this perpetual nightmare, as there are many excellent dentists in the area.

What others are saying about the selling of services and no hygenists is true. I scheduled a teeth cleaning and after the standard x rays they tried to sell me some deep cleaning and fillings that were all above insurance coverage, nothing my last dentist ever mentioned. I left after 1.5 hours of sales pitch and still didnt have my teeth cleaned. When i called back and said I just want a regular old teeth cleaning they said I had to do a deep cleaning and the dentist would maybe do a regular only one time if i discussed it with her. I found this beyond bizarre, never heard of anything like this before. When I went to a real Dentist for a 2nd opinion they said no way do I need a deep cleaning. BEWARE! Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

They are crooks! The dentist was extremely pushy and wanted me to get a crown for a filling just in case it failed for a $700 pricetag after my insurance kicked in. I went to another dentist in the area and he said the filling was fine and that a crown would be unnecessary. After giving her a HARD NO the hygienist admitted to me that she wouldnt get the crown if it was her. DO NOT GO HERE.

The dentist is dishonest and the staff is even worse. They quoted me with five cavities for only a whopping $850 for fillings. I also needed a third molar pulled which is covered by insurance but the secretaries gave me a paper with an amount of $700. The $700 charge was for unmentioned anesthesia when I asked why it is so expensive. It is unnecessary for one upper tooth. I got all of them pulled with novacaine fine. I said the fillings are more than I want to spend today, they came back with a deal of $750. My insurance usually covers a hundred percent of the cost for fillings so I called Delta when I got home. The composite fillings are supposed to be $66 each but Alamo Smiles said it is $144 per filling. I changed offices and asked for the full xrays from Alamo to get another review and they did not send me the email so I had to go down there and demand it. Anyhow, I didnt have any cavities, they just wanted to make money needlessly altering my teeth.

This is actually the worst dental experience Ive ever had. Im puzzled as to why Delta Dental even has them as providers. First of all, there is no hygienist - the dentist does the cleaning and it is at a bare minimum - ten minutes. There is a heavy sales pitch for unnecessary procedures. My husband had a cavity but they refused to fill it unless he got a crown - so we had to get two other professional opinions and had to have it taken care of elsewhere. Each dentist said a crown was completely unnecessary. The upsell tactics are second to none. I would recommend that anyone considering going here, to RUN.

Alamo Smiles is like a used car dealership -always trying to upsell you on over priced services you do not need. They refused to perform regular cleansing on a few of my friends, telling each of them theyd need deep cleansing, a service where they can charge 10 times as much and usually not covered in full by your insurance! Watch out! Or that bill can come bite you !

I made an appointment with Dr. Poyan for a general cleaning. When I got there she refused to do a regular cleaning and said she would only do a deep cleaning which is not covered by the insurance.I would not recommend them to anyone. I think they do not provide service to their clients and look for ways to increase the cost.
