Hi highly recommend this school. I received my associates degree in medical billing and coding. Everyone I have worked with has been amazing. I have never gone to a school where I felt so supported. In my online classes instructors were always available to answer questions and if they were not available I could reach out to fellow students. Jennifer in career development has helped me with every aspect of my career. They give you the tools you need to succeeded in school and when you graduate. Ive started a lot of programs in the past and this was the first one I finished and I plan to go back to get my bachelors in Health information management. Best decision of my life enrolling with Herzing.

Recommended for real people that have real lives and real responsibilities. I attended the online program for my bachelors and masters degrees in nursing, though there is a stand alone campus here in Akron. I was able to attend both programs full time and I will consider returning when its time for any post-masters certificates.The admissions department was easy to work with and did not use tactics that made me feel pressured or rushed with deciding to enroll and then re-enroll for my advanced degree. The professors were as helpful as they could be and did everything they could do to prepare me to pass my certification exam (which I did on the first attempt!). The resources that we were provided surprised me because they were so accessible and effective.Lastly, the very important behind the scenes staff-accounts, student services and advisors, library, and tech support were amazing. They always addressed my concerns within a timely fashion and what was not known, they sought out an answer and closed the loop for me. My student services advisor (Meaghan G.) continued to answer questions in this same manner even after I completed the program.Thank you to all of the staff. A challenging journey could have been worse without all of your support and efforts!

I have been a student at Herzing since September of 2018 and I have watched that school go down hill. They can not keep consistent nursing instructors and have to make changes to student schedules 2 days before classes start. When they know most of their student population are parents with the majority of us being single parents that work and go to school. But they have made it abundantly clear that they do no support students unless they have money to pay out of pocket. I have watched faculty that has been there since I started grow more and more stressed with the “behind the scenes” politics that go on inside the school. I have watched instructors walk out the door and not look back. Herzing advertises that they are family oriented and all of that but it’s all a joke. They hired the nursing chair to add “ diversity” among the faculty. They have students file complaints on instructors because some of the instructors and other faculty is the rudest people I have ever met. They claim to be a nonprofit organization but have increased cost of tuition twice in just under two years. Oh and don’t have nothing go wrong in your personal life when you fail a class because they don’t care. You can have plan after plan but it won’t be enough for them to let you finish your program when you only have one semester left. This school has been the biggest waste of money and time of my life. I use to enjoy going to school in the mornings I loved the things that I got to learn on a daily basis.. but as their instructors left so did my pride in the school. They do not follow any of the standards that they hold their students to. They don’t educate you if you make a mistake they reprimand you and fail you. They will show you over and over again that you success means nothing to them.. they just want the paycheck.

Save your money and time!!!!! Students don’t mean anything to them besides a hefty paycheck. They will side on the faculties side every time. The nursing chair is the biggest joke of all the faculty and is the most unprofessional person I have encountered at the school. Some professors care and want you to learn the material, while others play favoritism among students. Don’t worry about signing the syllabus, addendum, nursing handbook, or the P.R.I.C.E. to success paper because the school doesn’t support the policies if its against a faculty member. They can’t keep professors and the student turn over rate is beyond high. Finally if you want to take general education in a classroom setting, not going to happen here because they let go of their general education professors and it’s done all online. So be prepared to pay a ton of money to teach yourself.

All these online universities are horrible: over priced for no classroom education, and sold my phone number and email to every school so now I am harassed. I have never asked for info from any other school and had this level of harassment occur.

I enrolled at Herzing following the closing of Breckinridge School of Nursing. This program offered the best opportunity to finish my degree. While no program is perfect for everyone. I found Herzing to be an extremely helpful institution. I would recommend anyone looking into getting a nursing degree to check out Herzing.

Although Im a bit behind because of personal issues going on right now ... Herzing Akron has been nothing but short of great with the way they keep me up to date and informed on any changes, my advisor is always available when I need him and my student study advisor is great as well, I havent had any issues with the instructors they are always willing to help in anyway possible, they give information thats helpful for the course of study and they respond to emails with no issues.Im completely satisfied with my experience so far and Im glad I choose Herzing to continue my education.

I absolutely love it here. The instructors are amazing and really care about their students. You walk in the door and everyone greets you by name.

One star is to good for them I graduated 8 years ago with a assoc medical assist and ashamed that I am alumni 😔 Back then it was called Akron institute and they first moved into the building on Arlington and it was all about the mighty dollar. I wouldve transferred but had too much invested in the school. All students are no treated equally, so they dropped out leaving them in dept . Sad they need to b closed like brown Mackey and a lot of others for prying on people that r just trying to better themselves in life looking to them for a solution that they promise to have leaving them in with a massive dept and false job security leaving you 30,000 dollars in dept with a associated degree paying ten dollars a hour I was a fighter so I managed to make out ok in the end..

Herzing (Akron) is a unorganized mess. They have instructors quiting left and right. The school had caught multiple students cheating along with plagiarism. Those students weren’t punished or kicked out of the nursing program.INSTEAD the cohorts following aren’t allowed to go over test or have study guides.The school has favorit students and let those favorite students break rules. The cohorts are filled with childish women who talk behind each other backs and sneak around telling on each other. When I first got to herzing I thought I could find college friends whomn I could encourage and receive the encouragement back but NO!! Every one is out for themselves at this school. Oh yea beware of the federal work study students their the absolute worse. This school is a joke. If u want to get treated like a JOKE than yes HERZING IS THE SCOOL FOR YOU.

I have had a great experience at Herzing so far and my husband just graduated from Herzing class of 2017!

I gave this school only one star because of the fact that they would not take hardly any of my classes from Ohio State, Cleveland State, and Akron University. It is ridiculous that I have a Bachelor of Science and a teaching certificate and this school only wanted to transfer four classes. Tell me its not all about the money. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I attended orientation with my kid thinking that I may like to go to school here. I cannot attend because the lady who teaches Professional Development is not very professional. This educated woman uses the word LIBARY many, many times when it was her turn to speak. All the other instructors acted as if this was proper English. The word is pronounced L I B R A R Y - library. This is NOT a hard word to pronounce for a woman who is supposed to be educated and teaches Professional Development. I will not be attending because I cannot have someone who says LIBARY (L I B A R Y)teach me. My kid likes the school but I am very disappointed.
