It was such a pleasure to meet and become a patient for Dr. Reikowski at Family Hearing and Balance Center. The entire staff is very professional. They immediately made me feel that I was in very good care and that I had come to the right place. It began with a very thorough hearing exam to determine my exact needs. I knew that my hearing was impaired and that was confirmed with the tests. The hearing aids that I received are incredible and perform very well. Dr. Reikowski is a genuine caring, quality individual and I am extremely comfortable with him. They are very professional and will take care of your personal hearing needs. I highly recommend them.

After being diagnosed with a hearing loss at age 7. I was issued hearing aids and wore them until 13yrs old. I remember the last day I took them out and put them away, never to look back. Peer pressure was setting in for a young man like me and I wanted to be like everyone else. Fast forward 40 years @ 53 years of age, Covid hit and the mask went on and it was what drove the final nail in the coffin. I couldnt read lips any more, crippling my ability to communicate, realizing the world has finally shut me out. Its what forced me to look into hearing aids again. I contacted Family Hearing and Balance Center and met with Dr. Richard Riekowski. unlike some Audiologist who tries to up sale there patient. Dr. Riekowski never did. He gave me the most attention to detail in all aspect of my hearing and listened to my story of the struggles of suffering from a born hearing loss. Having done my own research, I told him the type of hearing aids I wanted, which was the OTICON Ruby 1 miniRite T. The hearing aid comes with a T-coil, which is phenomenal. I recommend anyone who gets hearing aids to get the T-coil too! Dr. Riekowski knew I did my homework and was so supportive in my own decision. I knew they cost more than the other brands but I realized I wanted to do things right the first time. Dr Riekowski you are a blessing and I recommend Family Hearing and Balance Center for all your hearing needs.

I got the new hearing aids with the new Bluetooth. My left ear was so bad, but wow how great these aids work. I almost started to cry in the officeTo be able to finally hear so good is awesome beyond words.You are treated like family at this office.I would highly recommend Family Hearing and Balance.

Dr. Reikowski will fit you with the equipment he thinks will work best for you. This may not necessarily be the most expensive ones, but the one that will give you your best hearing quality. I was so glad that I had an appointment. It was worth the 1 hour & 10 minute drive. The have a new update for my hearing aides. I now have Bluetooth connection. I can stream from my phone to my hearing aides. Love it.

I went to Family Hearing and Balance Center about a year ago. I am seen at V.A. but needed a second opinion and important paperwork filled out for veteran service purposes. They were very professional and friendly. I met Dr. Reikowski in the waiting room and was seen by Dr. Amy Welman. She did tests for hearing and tinnitus. She gave me helpful advice and filled out like a ton of paperwork for me for V.A. they will make you feel at home. : )

I recently was fitted for, and received, two invisible completely in the canal hearing devices from Oticon. I did not previously wear hearing aids, so I was very cautious, nervous, etc… to say the least. Dr.Welman worked with me from start-to-finish and truly minimized my anxiety and made the entire process as smooth as possible. Dr. Welman is extremely knowledgeable, is very engaging, and took the time to come up with the best solution possible for me- this was quite refreshing indeed. The entire team at Family Balance and Hearing Center should be commended for their professionalism and the cordial nature in which they interact with their patients. And yes, it’s nice to hear the sounds of birds chirping again.
