I have never been to this facility but had to give stars to leave a review. I have read all of these negative reviews and can I just say that this facility has hired new administration just recently. People that I have worked with in the past. I know their work ethics and their hearts and I am sure whatever issues there were these ladies will work their hardest to correct them. So please give them a chance to be the change that is needed. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Best of luck to all

Th staff is rude and always pull into the parking lot at 6 am blasting music and leave blasting music… it’s really sad how they talk about their patients and how they talk about the way they care for them…not to mention the drama from staff arguments with one another… it’s a mess no one will return my calls and I been calling about this for 2 yrs!

The worst nursing home ever!!!! They are rude to the patients and they do not take care of them. They only serve the simplest of meals most contain food that is not healthy. They do not provides the services that they say they do. Most need to be replaced there. I recommend if you are considering their home to go somewhere else. This is a place that is in it for the money not the care.

This nursing and rehab center is awful! The staff who work here are mean and very rude! To the owners of this place should be ashamed of their selves! I’ve never experienced horrible service in my life! The nurses are holding my step fathers pain medicine! If I could I’d give this place no stars and I’ll be contacting the state about this facility!

Canal Pointe is located across from a beautiful park in the international district of Akron. Their management team leads is so helpful and the staff provides individualized, quality care. Definitely worth stopping in for a tour!

The staff is wonderful, they help with all of your needs. It is a clean facility with good food! along with great activities. The other residents are friendly and easy to get along with. I always feel comfortable here!

The building is so beautiful, with the remodeling to the exterior and 1st floor. The staff here know the residents and truely care. A great play to work.

They do not give meds on time to patients and basically ignore them. I tried to speak with a nursing assistant they keep on duty and she screamed and hung up on me. They are killing people here. The holocaust was probably more compassionate than this place

This place is horrible my friend was here on a ventilator and had a feeding tube. I would stop in for a visit and she would need suctioned she would be crying in pain and I would ask if she had recieved her medication and they said she was out and her doctor which they provided ,was on vacation. For another week. I ask to call someone over seeing the facility and they said no one was available. Worst facility she was EVER in. Our options were slim becuase her having a ventilator we were limited as to who would accept her.

Once we arrived with my brother, all the staff from the admissions office to the business office to the Director of Nursing to the Social Workers to the RNs and to the aides were very helpful and polite to our whole family. We even got to know some of the residents who politely responded once we greeted them. This facility is on its way up with its facelift happening and concern for additional staff and ongoing training. All the staff are very caring with the residents. It was a tough time in our lives and they made it as pleasant as they could.

Wonderful, caring staff members who always go the extra mile for their patients. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is inviting.

Where do I even begin! In a time of need Canal Pointe and the staff was there for my family. The facility is clean and they provide such care for their patients. They also respect those coming to spend time with a family member, friend or fellow church goer.

I lived at this horrible place for two and a half years. I was abused physically and mentally by male staff members who were all juiced up on whatever they were taking. I was locked on the second floor for two and a half years! Can you imagine that! I was stuck waiting on the elevator to open up so I could go downstairs and smoke a cigarette 5 times a day. I will say that the courtyard was very nice and there was a few good nurses and STNAs. The activity department was friendly but all they did was shove fatty foods down your throat like cake and ice cream which lead to me gaining sixty pounds. I spent countless hours waiting on handicapped individuals to ride the elevator because it was a liability issue to take the stairs. Also, their Physical Training programs was helpful for my broken scapula and a bad left shoulder. My doctor was foreign and he was old school medicine demanding that I receive terrible Haldol injections every three weeks. I wouldnt recommend this place to any elderly folk or people with dementia and other mental disorders that have to be locked away on the god forsaken second floor.

This team hustles and cares for the residents. Great example of a caring skilled staff.

Well, I just moved close to this place, and was told they needed staff, even their audit said so, so i applied prn, i can work all 3 shifts, and nobody ever called me, so i guess that means that they are wonderfully staffed now, and i just went the opposite direction to another facility that actually appreciates people who apply, and calls them .
