She listens carefully and responds appropriately to the patient, using the information to diagnose and recommend treatment. Her friendly, caring and helpful nature are a relief when situations are stressful to the patient. Referrals to specialists have been quickly acted upon, indicating she follows through and other doctors respect her, too. 24-hour availability through her personal cell phone is exceptionally convenient and far exceeds the norm with other doctors. Dr. Alyssa Degnan has been the primary care physician for both my wife and me for thirteen years, and I cannot even begin to relate how extremely happy we are that we chose Dr. Degnan thirteen years ago. She is truly an outstanding physician and a rare jewel among doctors, a “one-in-a-million” find. Her compassion professionalism and commitment to her patients are all literally “off the charts”, amazing us every time we have an appointment with her. Beyond her virtues as a doctor, she is an incredible human being, full of wisdom, frankness, good humor, courage and inspiration.I owe Dr. Degnan a huge debt of gratitude for speaking words to me back in 2012 that began a health and wellness journey leading to a loss of over 100 pounds. Her guidance and inspiration were big factors in my long-term success. In late 2014 a major wrench was thrown into my life with the diagnosis of an incurable blood cancer, but Dr. Degnan has continued to stand by my wife and me. Why do I use a concierge physician?Having a physician available 24/7, getting an appointment to be seen when you need to be seen not “next week” or longer. No sitting for long periods in crowded waiting rooms. Having a physician take as much time with you as you need and your physician get to know you AND your family. The staff make the phone calls for your referrals when needed and to do all the ‘foot work’ for you. These are the the things that make having a concierge physician invaluable. One of the best things I have ever done for myself.

I first heard how wonderful Dr. Degnan is about 5 years ago from a friend who was being treated for throat cancer. My husband became a patient of hers this year and she has been on top of his treatments, taking time with him and responding to my phone calls. Dont know how wed manage without her. Not like most Drs who spend 5 minutes with you twice a year!

Have been with Dr.Degnan for around 9 yrs now. Looking for a primary care physician and called Dr Degnans office. I told the receptionist that I was looking to make an appointment and would be a new patient. Receptionist said, Okay and asked me my date of birth (I am over 50). It took just a minute and she came back on to say, Dr Degnan is not accepting new patients. It strongly appears that I was discriminated against because of my age.

I am in my late fifties . When I retired to this community , three years ago , I was fortunate to have Dr. Degnan accept me as a new patient . I present with a very extensive and complicated medical history , and Dr. Degnan always took the time to work with me within her areas of expertise , and has referred me to several , local , specialists when my conditions warranted additional oversight; each of whom , in turn, continue to provide excellent care for me . I am a reasonably informed patient , and Dr. Degnan always took the time to review the reports submitted , discuss my options , and answer all my questions as needed . I have been indeed fortunate to have benefitted from several world class medical practitioners , Cardiology , Hand (thumb reattachment) Podiatric , Opthamologist , and Retnal Specialists as example , prior to relocating here . Dr. Degnan , as I have experienced her care has provided care , on par , or better , than any I have received . My last exam , about a week ago , was no exception to my prior experience . As she is moving to a new practice , and accepting new patients , I am certain that if you are searching for an extremely competent , kind , compassionate , yet straightforward Primary Care physician Dr. Degnan will meet , or exceed any and all of your professional expectations .
