The only reason they are getting a two and not a one is because their amazing therapist Sean and Jess. The techs lacked the training to handle clients with severe trauma and ptsd. Theresa always worked hard and was very sweet. Communication between staff was in very minimal and it showed. The owners and directors showed that clients were not their top priority. They truly showed me that money talks as I was pushed out the door before my original discharge date to a ungodly facility that I refused to stay at. So with a broken hand that was infected and recently injured by another client I had to find my own place to stay, which thank God I had a sober sister in LA. I thought that I was cared about as a person there and was sadly mistaken it was very heartbreaking.

I had a great experience with Elevation. The staff are very friendly and empathetic. I didn’t feel looked down upon while I was staying there. Alicia made my admission feel very smooth and easy. Ian was also great to work with. Overall the staff made you feel calm and at ease

Please be careful when deciding on going to elevation. While there are some good things about elevation, they put me and others at risk due to covid and really, I think, a heartless attitude by the administration.Key points- I tested positive for covid while in their care- they discharged me while I asked them to quarantine me in the program- they promised I would be able to come back as soon as I tested negative- they were dismissive of any of my needs, including reassurance and medication refills while I was in the hotel- I had to spend my personal money on a hotel for 2 weeks, also all my food, etc.- they packed my belongings, but missed several things, including my wedding rings and have refused to return them even with a prompt, detailed list- When I tested negative and got a medical clearance, as I was told to do, no admin or the admissions person would return my calls or texts.While in their care I tested positive for covid. I had been sick for several days and let staff know, including the therapists. No one seemed concerned, so I wasnt too concerned either. Finally I realized I couldnt smell and they were responsive and took me for a rapid covid test. I tested positive. An admin, Antonio showed up to the testing site, followed by admins Jonny and Sabrina. For over 4 hours I sat on the sidewalk outside the testing clinic, sick with covid, waiting for them to figure out what to do. Finally, after a lot of corrosion, I got an Uber and went to a hotel.Several hours later a tech brought me my luggage. I quickly let them know items were missing. They brought a few more. I let them know again items were missing. It has now been over 3 weeks later and I havent received my belongings, including my wedding bands.The following day from my positive covid test, admin Jonny called and checked on me. He reassured me that I would be coming back when I tested negative. I spoke to him again a couple days later. I was somewhat emotional as I was upset about my health and being alone in a hotel when I didnt feel safe. I was upset I was discharged and questioned the ethics and legality of them doing that. I wasnt abusive or threatening, just scared. I was in Elevation because I was not doing well mentally or physically and needed residential care. Now I was on my own in a hotel far from my home and family. Also I had a chance, at the hotel, to read the CDC guidelines which stated that a follow up negative test isnt needed as someone can be positive for quite a while when not contagious. They suggest a 10 day quarantine after onset of symptoms. I asked Jonny about that and he refused to address it other than to repeat that their policy was to receive a negative covid test.I finally tested negative and got a doctors note that I was no longer contagious. I forwarded the doctors note to the admin Sabrina. I never heard back. I texted and called admins Jonny and Antonio, and didnt head back from them, either. Finally I reached out to another program where I was admitted immediately. I contacted admin and Alicia Kennedy (the admissions agent) and finally a tech reached out and said they would deliver my belongings. They brought my boxes from Amazon, which i had asked them to return to Amazon, and none of the items on the detailed list I provided them. I contacted the techs again and still havent heard back.At this point I am angry and very sad. I dont know if I will get anything back from Elevation. This did not fall under any guidelines I agreed to, and I didnt sign any discharge forms stating I got all of my belongings. I wanted, very much, to go back into the program where I was comfortable. And it hurt my ability to trust and my feelings of safety.

Elevation Behavioral Health is absolutely a step above the majority of treatment programs out there for Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis. The programs are highly comprehensive, custom to each client, and the superior comfort for healing. It is a top notch program.

Horrible place!! They are just in it for the money!! Alisha made us all kinds of promises that they could help our daughter! Ed Gutierrez was our daughter’s s therapist and we was useless!!! He would say that he would look into things and then never get back to us.Even when we sent him follow up emails. He definitely shouldn’t be working at a mental health facility!! Our daughter was bullied there and the staff did nothing about it! Our daughter has been traumatized by this facility. This place lacks communication! No one knows what the other one is doing! This place is more like a vacation getaway then a mental health facility. They treat it like a resort instead of truly helping clients!!! This place needs to be shut down!!!!

I don’t write reviews often, but knowing how much I relied on reviews in my treatment decision, I feel a duty to write this. I hope you find it helpful.I was @ the Brunston house for 30 days for depression, anxiety, & suicidal ideation.I want to first note the good. The Techs, Chef Claire, and therapist Sean (he wasnt my 1-on-1 therapist) are amazing. Melissa who does EMDR and Julie who does yoga/reiki were also incredible. They were all such blessings during an otherwise troublesome experience.1. Practitioners’ Experience: Before coming I saw reviews that Elevation therapists werent licensed. Admissions staff assured me those reviews were inaccurate. Yet, upon arrival, I was paired w/ an unlicensed therapist who was fresh out of school. Her nerves & inexperience were glaring.2. Lack of Professionalism: I was then reassigned therapists and my new therapist looked at his phone during EVERY session I had w/ him. And during many sessions he would text, sometimes even while I was talking.3. Aftercare: The admissions team was incredibly misleading about the efforts they would take to help me setup aftercare... which ended up being nearly nothing.4. Safety: Elevation sacrificed the safety and peace-of-mind of its female clients to prioritize an aggressive cash-pay male client: refusing to kick him out after exhibiting aggressive behavior towards staff and clients (and boasting about “only being there” to “build evidence” for pending assault & brandishing a weapon charges). When us female clients expressed our safety concerns, we were gaslighted.5. Laziness & Lack of Care: We were just sat in front of the tv for many “group therapy” sessions; they offer yoga for the 6-client house, but only have 3 dirty & old yoga mats; they offer a basketball court for rec time, but all the balls were deflated & they didnt have a pump; the “art therapy” offered isn’t real—they have art supplies you have access to, but there isnt anything formal or guided (scheduled art therapy sessions are in reality just more TV time).6. Misc Other Issues: They didnt administer covid tests to arriving clients as promised. Ants in bathroom. Facility really run down/pictures online are misleading. 1:6 staff:client ratio on several occasions, despite 1:3 requirement.Overall, this place just cares about $ and not your actual care/progress.In case Elevation responds to this review acting concerned & exhibiting a desire to be responsive to my complaints, know that it is entirely disingenuous. There isnt a single complaint in this review that I didnt already raise directly w/ Elevation. (Relatedly, the review by Alicia K is fraudulent as she works for Elevation).I would not recommend Elevation.I wish you nothing but the best on your search for healing. I hope you find what you need. Hang in there.

The therapist and staff were very helpful being there and helping us work through our issues. They were funny but at the same time took care of us. I really enjoyed being there and being able to focus on my problems and NOT being ridiculed for what I have been through! Thank you Elevations for everything!

Elevations has helped my family through tough times by taking care of my boy. The family therapy is so helpful and I do see the progress within these sessions and awareness of things I had no clue about. When family struggles with mental health you do not know how to help them is the worst feeling. I am grateful to Elevations for helping my family and giving us a better understanding of mental health and how to overcome some of the hardest obstacles. I thank Elevations for showing us there is hope, solutions and answers.

When I first arrived at Elevations I was a mess with depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations. I was scared not knowing what to expect. I was going to stay away from my family for 30 days. But the therapist and staff made me feel welcomed right away and made my fears fade away. I stayed at the Kanan house with 5 star accommodations. I did not go into treatment with the exactions of making friends but I ended up making meaningful friendships that will last beyond treatment. The staff at the Kanan house were nothing short of amazing. They were helpful in every way possible. I stayed at Elevations for 3 months and it was the best investment in my mental health that I could have possibly given myself. I would recommend this place a thousand times over.

Elevations residential mental health treatment is a great option. Look no further if you want to receive some of the best residential mental health care available in the most beautiful setting. Insurance and private pay only. I received residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient at Elevations over a period of almost three months. Outpatient isnt as structured and I would really only use it if you live in California which is why four stars. That and it is extremely expensive. Otherwise, it has been the best three month investment in my mental heath ever. Dr. Chaudhri cares deeply about the programs and getting things right. The dedicated technicians make sure that you are always safe and your needs are met. The therapists are dedicated and exceptional in their treatment of complex mental health diagnoses (BiPolar, depression, PTSD, OCD, anxiety.) The services I received and I encourage people to get are: EMDR, Nuerofeedback, massage, life coaching, nutrition consultation, meditation, acupuncture, and yoga. They are add ons but insist on them.The journey is hard work but being in such a beautiful place with highly qualified and compassionate people makes it easier. I know no matter what I may need in the future Elevation Behavioral Health will be there. Thank you Elevations for changing my life. I am forever grateful.

I just returned home from a 30 day stay @ Elevation BH, and cannot say enough good things about my experience, or name the many people who contributed. This was unfortunately not my first go around in inpatient treatment but, I can honestly say it was the absolute best. I left feeling more at peace and better prepared than any other experience. I was treated with respect, professionalism, and a sincere sense of caring for my well being and recovery from administration, therapists, techs, even the chefs. I found the therapists uniquely qualified and committed to helping me identify and address those missing pieces that have prevented my lasting recovery in the past. The accomodations were clean and comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was amazing, with an openess to accomdating dietary preferences among clients. I was honestly most impressed by the quality of therapy, skills, and tools delivered to support my recovery. Im not one to easily make referrals or recommendations but, have no hesitation for Elevations if you are truly interested getting and staying clean/sober.

The staff genuinly care about the clients and their wellbeing.

This place was completely transformative for me. Their emdr, neurofeedback, groups and holistic opportunities were key and effective. I came in with the desire to be able to live a functional life, and left feeling way better than I knew possible. The techs at their php house were always there to support and keep us feeling supported and safe. Soraya and Jeremy and all the rest were played a major role in keeping things moving positively for me. The rest of the techs were incredible but needed to give those two the extra credit they deserve. Also my individual therapist Ian was really special, 10/10.If you’re really looking to get better, this place will provide that for you. Don’t be afraid to be assertive with your needs, they will always be there to tend to you.Thanks Elevation!

This treatment facility is next door to us. For over a week they have allowed a patient to stand outside for hours, sometimes late into the night, ranting and using profanities and racial slurs. I have spoken and emailed with the one of the owners, and also called the police three times to no avail. The police have received several complaints. So I shall be contacting the licensing bodies next. Obviously, this facility cannot control its patients and it has complete disregard for the neighbors in this quiet residential neighborhood.

Amazing facility, great staff, great food, pool table, pool, high def tvs, nice bathrooms.

Expensive nothing.
