Didnt have to wait long! Had to take my pregnant daughter in due to asthma. We have dealt with this unfortunately her whole life. Nevertheless, the staff was attentive and kind. (With the exception of one nurse, who was my guess never taught any manners). The doctor was kind and explained everything thoroughly. If you ever need to come to an ER this place is quick, clean and caring. Recommended

Came in via ambulance because I had a severe coughing fit that left me really weak, nauseous, and on the verge of blacking out. All they did was check my vitals, put me in an exam room for a few minutes, and then discharged me with an anxiety disorder impression. Nobody came in to do any tests or even talk about why I was there. Only people who did were the paramedics and the nurse in Triage. Seriously? Im currently sitting at home, coughing up phlegm because of this. Just because someone has an anxiety disorder does not mean anxiety is the cause of an issue!

Had knee replacement surgery and was impressed with the pre op nurses. The level of care and understanding was impressive. The nurses who took care of me after surgery in my room during my stay were very understanding and took very good care of me. The only real complaint I have is it is almost impossible to get decaf coffee. The review is listed in my maiden name. Was in the hospital under Alice Biscardi.

Patient ratios are often as high as 7 heavy care patients to one nurse, with no aides. I personally believe they kill more patients than they save. Nurses ask for help, but Hendrick just pockets the PPP money and makes them wear the same equipment from room to room. If you feel like gambling with your life, give them a try. But they will be glad to drain any hospital days insurance provides as long as they can drain them fully.

I would put 0 stars if possible. I have been going there all summer for wound care. I have no complaint against the wound care. My grandchild is spending the summer with me and has gone with me many times to wound care. Today we ahow up and they refuse to allow her in because she is under 16. I was refused my much needed wound care because now agter 3 months they decide she cant come in. Very sorry to do that and leave me without wound care. When I die from infection, my family will take this hospital to court. Just another example of sorry care in Abilene and Hendricks

Every member of the staff that we encountered when my mother needed care was calm, compassionate, and helpful. I guess no one is prepared when Compelled to visit the ER , but neither of us was dressed warm enough for the medically-necessary room temperature. The warm blankets the staff brought to my mother and even to me as a non-patient were a great comfort during a stressful episode.

I walked down the hall and asked the lady at admissions to call them, she said it would be a minute. 9:39 AM its been 11 minutes now, still waiting. 9:42 AM four people waiting now. 9:44 two people finally showed up.I liked it better when it was Hendrick hospital and Abilene Regional hospital. Competition improves competitors. Hendrick owning the whole deal might be better for shareholders, but not customers.

The service received for a family member was horrible. My family member had to ask for their sheets to be changed. Had to prep themselves for surgery. Cleaning herself. TWICE. First surgery the machine stopped working and the second time the doctor got sick before he went into surgery. My family member saw this happen. My family member had to ask for clean gowns. They didn’t even have my family member change the gown before surgery. One of the individuals taking my family member to surgery stated the family member was naked but was not. The person that took my family member to pre-op walked away after he said my family member was naked. They had my family member walk from one hospital room to another after my family member was listed as a fall risk. The list goes on and on and on. The hospital will hear from the family.

Nothing is priced in the cafeteria. No daily menu board,no pricing. And then when you get to the register you get sticker shock. Ive been sitting here the past few days watching people check out, about 1/2 of them have a complaint about price vs quantity. And for being a hospital there are few healthly choices. Most of the food is fried or floating in some kind of oil or butter. About the only healthy choice is a $6 dollar salad.

The nurses, staff, and doctors here are phenomenal. Truly great people. But who is it that does all of the scheduling, and designates how many nurses can work? These incredible nurses are spread thin, and working at least 5 people short in every single unit/department.Because of this some of the most simplistic of surgeries get pushed back an extra 7-8 hours. Thus creating this snowball effect of problems. Pretty ridiculous. But again. The nurses, staff, and doctors here are truly amazing people.

They took good care of me and the nurses went above and beyond. The only issue I encountered was the fact that they do not have nursing aides. This made my nurses less able to provide the care patients are expecting. Instead of doing nursing duties, they were busy passing out water and snacks, preparing patients for baths and other non medical issues. Never have I been in a place where the nurses were less supported by ancillary staff.

So after 8hrs I finally went to the 2nd floor to a room I was there almost 2 days and the nurses ,staff and one of the Drs were amazing the only thing is I wish when shift change came I would have been able to actually see a doctor to take the time to come talk to me.

I thought a long time about this review. My dad has been there off and on and weve had some good and some very bad experiences. Hes been there now for almost two weeks. One positive has been Mandy, his second floor nurse. She has been spectacular. Also, Manuela in the ER was very sweet and caring. Overall the nursing staff has been good. They are the reason that you get three stars. The doctors are another story. Dr. Cole has been the one exception. Slow moving, inattentive, and uncaring is the best I can say. I literally just had Dr. Yost tell me that my dads internal bleeding should have stopped but had NO idea what his hemoglobin levels were and hadnt even looked at his labs for today. This is unacceptable. He also hasnt had a BM in over a week and he told me that he wasnt concerned about that. Were in the process of figuring out how to move him to San Antonio because weve lost faith that the doctors there can help him. Im sad that Hendricks bought you because its already showing. The level of care is steadily going to south. And now you no longer have a choice of care in Abilene.

But adults are allowed to enter, how is this ok?I like the pavilion staff but the rest, not so much. They missed getting all my preop orders filled. I was notified at 4:00pm, the last business day before my surgery! I almost missed my surgery. Then I got an infection and the ER didn’t look at my urine under microscope and did dip stick instead, which I found later was false negative and sent me home with nothing.Turns out it was an infection and my surgeon had to give me RX upon reopening after the weekend. So I’m trying to recover from three ops and suffered 3 days more than needed.Look at my arm after two preop nurses couldn’t get my IV in! Finally nurse three got on after sixth attempt. Also, the ER bathrooms are disgusting.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE, COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR LIFE, GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!! 0 stars if possible. My husband has been scheduled for the operating table 6 times to have an extremely important surgery. Every time were told someone of higher priority took the table, I guarantee they arent higher than a heart transplant. Scheduled for this morning, call yet again to confirm we are still on. AGAIN, were told theres no table available. After making some of our own phone calls, come to find out it had nothing to do with table availability. It had everything to do with money that NO ONE told us they needed upfront!!! So instead of telling us before the surgery they need x amount paid, we are lied to and put off SIX TIMES for money we have available in the bank! We have been living in a hotel for 3 months so we could be close to the hospital for this, we have taken off work every time he had been scheduled. Thank you so much Regional for telling me that my husbands life doesnt matter to you, that the transplant waiting for him will be wasted because the life of the heart out of the body will expire before you can get to him next and putting my husbands life at risk the longer we wait to have this done. You are the worst hospital and I will never use you for anything after this and make sure I tell EVERYONE to stay away from this lying, corrupt hospital that would rather lie to you than tell you they need money from you.

There seems to be a city battle between hospitals. Ive had great care at Abilene regional hospital or Hendrick hospital. There is an on going issue with billing. Many hospitals and clinics say they accept all sorts of insurance policies, but what the insurance pays for maybe 2 separate issues. I would recommend asking your doctor if the procedure they are getting ready to perform will be accepted or paid for by your insurance policy or whether or not you need to seek a second opinion. There is a derogatory communication between staff members and the hospital which they work, I guarantee that same issue exist within all 3 major hospitals in the area. You will still recieve great medical care here from MRI, to an injection. All these personal have their medical licenses and credentials on the line, dont think for a second they are not giving you their best. There are awesome people at Abilene regional hospital who want to make a difference in your life by making you better. The hospital has a very large facility with many open offices 40-60 vacancy. How and why the owners of Abilene regional hospital is not utilizing full resources is none of my business. First time ever being inpatient at this facility . My little girl was admitted for respiratory distress after coming into the emergency room. 5 stars goes to the emergency room staff. Quick, efficient, got her help asap. My daughter is 10 by the way... She was admitted and taken upstairs to room 3109. The room was disgusting. Walls, floor, bed, everything in that room was not clean. The card in the room said it was cleaned on 2/15/2020. My daughter was admitted on 3/4/2020. I don’t know if another patient had been there before we were or not. I cleaned the room myself. I was not impressed. However the doctors and nurses treating her were so nice and helpful. So they also get 5 stars! Food service - 1 star except for Jessica she gets 5 but she’s the boss and shouldn’t have to hand deliver food to a patient because her staff cannot do their jobs correctly. After my daughter went 12.5 hours with no food or drink we tried to get her dinner tray once we got to the room and when they brought it, the order was wrong. I politely told the girl dropping off trays that it was wrong and she proceeded to tell my 10 year old to stop being picky and that she could eat crackers or a fruit cup instead. Excuse me?!? So that’s why Jessica got involved and made things right. (Thank you!) But it was uncalled for. What about the patients who don’t/won’t ask for the supervisor? They just deal with it? That’s not ok. But our medical staff did not let us go without anything. They didn’t forget about us even though our room was on the opposite end of the hallway from the nurses station and that surprised me! They continued to check on us throughout the day and night. (5 stars!) but the cleanliness was terrible . The overall hospital was not clean. Even outside in the parking garage there are cigarette butts everywhere along the building. ARMC definitely needs to step it up with the cleanliness. You have some good staff working there and the environment needs to be better so we as patients feel comfortable getting care at this facility. Especially for our children during an emergency situation.

I may have ended up at Abilene Regional because of Dr. Leverton’s affiliation, but my review goes much deeper. I’m not going to say the facility is the most spectacular I’ve ever entered, though it was quite satisfactory to me. I judge my stay much like I judge a church. The building may be what is seen by the eye but the quality of a church, and a hospital, is judged by the glow and warmth of the hearts inside. My primary nurses, Jordee, Connie, Kat, and two others that slip my mind right now were super. A special friend was Ella from housekeeping that took time to visit. Ricky from radiology was quite kind carting me around the hospital. The pre-op staff, Cath team, and recovery were great and very professional. I thanked the Cath team for their energy and humor during a stressful time for me. It would be great if no one had to ever end up in a hospital again, but we all know that won’t be the case anytime soon. In the meantime, I recommend Abilene Regional for your needs!

No one wants to be admitted to the Hospital, but I was and I had a great experience there at Abilene Regional Hospital. I was admitted for AF and underwent a procedure to shock my heart back into a normal heart beat and to help lower my blood pressure. The nurses, staff and my Doctor, Thomas Headstream took really good care of me. Thank you all at Abilene Regional Hospital.

Quick to be seen and awesome teamwork in the Emergency Department. Admitting PA, Kyle McC, was very thorough and explained things well, taking time to listen. The staff on PCU was excellent, checking on me often yet respecting my privacy.

I recently had a stent put in at Abilene Medical Center. My doctor was Robert Leverton and I am very grateful to him. He does excellent work and care. The hospital staff and nurses were very attentive , I couldn’t have asked for better care. Thank you allA week after my stent, I had an emergency visit to the ER, again, I was impressed. They took me right in and took care of me.Thank you you all so very much, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy happy new year ahead.SincerelyJean Lang

The nurses were amazing don’t get me wrong, the person running this hospital not so sure...see video. Basically I came to this hospital to deliver my first baby and above the room I was put in they were doing construction all day and into the night. We were moved to a quieter location for a few hours but had to be brought back to the same room for the majority of the labor process. Worst experience in the world, if I wasn’t being induced my husband would have probably flown me to another hospital out of this city. This was not part of my birth plan and was one of the most un-relaxing and uncomfortable things I’ve gone through in my life. This was not the ideal environment for labor and I do not recommend anyone going to Abilene Regional Medical Center to give birth.

They sued me. Over an $800 bill (for 2 breathing treatments, 2 shots & a CXR due to severe asthma attack). Literally served me papers then didnt show up 2 court which made me lose a day of work! I never got a bill in the mail, a phone call, or anything from them until the suit. If I could give 0 stars I would. Id rather DIE than go to Regional ever again. Steer clear of this place. Go to Hendricks. Regional is HORRIBLE.
