My home is here and after an accident that put me in the hospital and nursing home in Arizona. When I was able to come home I had to decide what nursing home. I will tell you I got the Hilton compared to where I was in Arizona.Prarie Heights was our choice. I can’t say enough good. The staff is amazing. Their therapy program is amazing. Food was good.Thank you for taking such good care of me. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again if I had to.

My stay at Prairie Heights was unplanned. When I got over being away from my husband I came to realize it was for my own good. Everyone knew my name.it made you feel like they really knew you. The accommodations were comfortable for me. The therapy staff was loving & very caring. They even surprised me by singing Happy Birthday. The food was different than what I was used to, but I made do. At first I was bummed by short visiting hours, but we made it work. All in all, I left Prairie Hights a new person with a repaired heart...❤️

I was at Prairie Heights for rehab from a total knee replacement, the PT and OT was very good, as was all the care. I would highly recommend them to friends and return in the future if needed.

This facility continues to use COVID policy as an excuse to prevent loved ones from seeing patients, even after 100% of the people and residents who have wanted COVID vaccines have received them. It seems they use it as an excuse to allow only 3 people a max of 20 minutes of visitation a week. In the mean time our loved one is in horrible mental condition as they lock him in his room. I realize there are CDC guidelines but this facility has taken it much too far. Yes, there was a time to protect the patients from COVID but now that vaccines have been administered, better, more open visitation should be allowed. For this, I rate this horrible prison with 1 star! I am hoping this gets the facility management attention because nothing else seems to.

In response to the very negative comments made regarding my home (and Prairie Heights is my home) I would like to make it very clear that I am not a prisoner, and in the five years that I have lived here, I’ve been treated with kindness, respect and love. Even though I haven’t been able to be hugged by my family, I have been hugged very often by one of the staff. They are very aware of the need we as residents have to be close to our families and are making steps so that, one day soon, all that will be possible. I feel sorry for those people who view us, and particularly the staff, in such a negative way.

My sister has been at Prarie Heights Healthcare for 7 1/2 years. She has received excellent care from the staff. She has so many that she calls her friends. They have been so good to be careful thru this pandemic. They have done an excellent job keeping the residents feeling safe. It’s been a stressful time for all involved. She definitely feels like it’s her home and their her family. Thank you for all you do ❤️

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Prairie Heights on two separate occasions, plus she’s also been an out patient for rehab pre-COVID. The staff, from housekeeping to therapists and kitchen help to CNAs, has always gone above and beyond in administering care to my mother in-law. We had always heard that the rehab facility was the best in Aberdeen. Now, after having a loved one there we can totally see why. Prairie Heights truly puts their residents needs front and center. We never doubted the care that our loved one was getting. We would HIGHLY recommend Praire Heights. If anyone should have questions, I know that their admitting team is always on hand to answer any questions one might have. Thank you, Prairie Heights, for all you do in caring for our loved ones and for making our entire family feel so at ease having our mother/mother-in-law there.

CNA’s and other workers are rude, food is cold, patients have been locked down for 11 months already. There is no heart to this place. Can’t believe this is what we pay for.

I came to Prairie Heights for therapy after breaking my hip. This place is great, the therapy department is totally focused on the patient, and striving for the best result. I am able to go home 2 weeks after surgery with the confidence that I will continue to get stronger and independent. The patient care is top notch, with staff that is helpful and caring. I cant say enough about the excellent care I got there.

Prairie Heights from dinner staff, nurses, therapists, management and any other department I may have missed is top notch! Made many visits to see my Dad and each time I stopped by everybody was so helpful and friendly. My Dad made many friends for life. All of us greatly appreciate each and every person. I would recommend Prairie Heights to anybody looking for a place to care for their loved one!

After my dads surgery, we found out he would have to go to a nursing home for rehab. He chose ManorCare and I agreed, because of Mike Hansen and his excellent therapy team. He has been getting the best care and therapy, and he is on his way to recovery. Its possible that he could even go home at the end of this month. Each and everyone of the therapy staff has been so good with him. He even looks forward to going to therapy! The Admissions Director and Social Worker were excellent to work with. They were friendly and helpful. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were there for our dad and us family members. The nursing staff have all been just great! I would encourage anyone who needs rehab to choose ManorCare for their excellence in customer service, nursing and therapy. They have been like family to our family and always go above and beyond. They have been there for us day and night!

Everyone was so nice and helpful. The facilities were very well maintained and comfortable. The food was very good. The staff, therapists, aides and nurses were always so nice. It was very hard to say goodbye, so many hugs from so many! Thanks for everything, CC

I came to Prairie Heights Healthcare because I broke my back. Ive been here before and had great results, so I knew that this is where I wanted to come again. I think they have the best therapy in South Dakota. The therapists are good. They are friendly and are trying to help me as much as they can. The facility is very well kept, clean and neat. This fall they held a picnic for us and our families. We had a great time. The food was so good. I am so satisfied with my care.

I went to Prairie Heights Healthcare after I was in a car accident. Many people in the community and in the hospital said I should come here to recover and get great therapy. The care, therapy and food were so good. The physical therapists are so friendly and caring! The staff was even kind to my wife and that means a lot!

I spent 1 Month at Prairie Heights Health Care....after I had a Total SHOULDER Replacement. I received THERAPY everyday..but Sundays. Was I best thing I could have done for my Recovery ! Therapists were OUTSTANDING. FOOD WAS GREAT ! I would RECOMMEND Prairie Heights Health Care to ANYONE !!

My experience here has been nothing short of wonderful! This spring, I cracked my femur and had to have surgery. After my time at the hospital, I was sent here for therapy. It was the BEST thing that could have happened to me. Everyone here is so great! They are nice and fun and they are flexible with what I want to do. If I want to sleep in, I can. The food is excellent. I dont have to cook or clean while Im recovering! It is getting a lot easier to walk, and I give all the credit to the folks at ManorCare that are willing to work with me. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs therapy. I will miss everyone when I go home.

I stayed at Prairie Heights Healthcare after I fell and broke my hip. I chose them because of their reputation for great results. The therapists, nurses and aides were all wonderful! The staff in therapy was so nice, and I could tell that I was getting stronger and improving everyday. I had great care.

My mother fell and broke her hip and arm. After surgery, she was transferred to Prairie Heights Healthcare. From day one she was welcomed and received kind care. The nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and activity leaders have been awesome! Her successful improvement is totally due to the staff at this facility. I highly recommend this facility.

I went to ManorCare after I had hip surgery. I cant say enough nice things about my stay. The therapy was excellent, and the food was good. Every member of the staff was so pleasant and willing to help out. ManorCare has great customer service. I never had to wait for anything.

All therapists were wonderful and allowed my mother, Delila to be on her own after 3 weeks of intense therapy. Staff treated her with dignity and kindness and she would recommend coming here following a surgery for an orthopedic replacement.

Ive been to ManorCare more than once. Ive had heart surgery and 2 strokes. You cant find better therapist or therapy anywhere else. The nurses and CNAs are great too! Everyone here is so good to me. The food has been great and theres plenty of it! ManorCare is a very nice place to be and I will miss everyone when I go home.

My parents, Wesley & Sylvia Stern were in a very serious automobile accident on September 27, 2013. After their hospitalization and dismissal from the hospital rehab they needed further care. Going home by themselves was not an option. They have appreciated the friendliness and caring of the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapists and nursing staff. This is where they needed to be to gain strength and confidence in their ability to go home. At age 67 and 70 you do not expect to temporarily lose your independence and privacy and acquire these services. We as a family are thankful they are and were hear for us.

I chose ManorCare for its professional rehabilitation services, when I needed to regain my strength, after a recent hospitalization. I cant say enough about the kindness and caring attitudes of all of the staff, and am happy to say, with their help, I am regaining my strength everyday.

Wonderful facility!

I am not sure where to begin. When we first got to Prairie Heights we weren’t sure what to expect. My husband had been in an accident and had many issues to deal with. He was in so much pain, but with the help of the nursing staff and the CNAs they did all they could to keep him comfortable. He started PT and OT right away, the way these departments handle him was unbelievable. EVERYBODY went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. The facility was always clean and the meals were good.Thank you to all the people who head up all the departments, PT, OT, RNs, CNAs, Laundry, House keeping, Custodians, Food Service, and all the Office staff. If there was a 10 star rating you would get that from us.Shari Sparling

I have had excellent care.

In less then the first 24 hours there they starved, deprived the use of bathroom, physically abused him, and to top it off, forgot him at his doctors appointment. This place is a bleebing #$ithole place. They are lucky I was not informed until later or there would have been hell to pay.
